El Sombrero is not Eddie's Sombrero, but other than a name change, the location, menu, and majority of the staff seem the same. The drink menu and food options still offer variety. Drinks: APB (Acai/Pomegranate/Blueberry) Margarita, Hurricane Margarita (Wildberry and Mango Puree mixed with House Margarita). Simple, basic, pleasant. Chips and salsa for the table didn't last long. Entrees: 1.... More

Went for early dinner got the appetizer sampler it was good but for 13$ could have been a little more. Taco salad with shredded beef and fajitas where very good. Service was a bit slow but overall everything was good. The house margaritas seemed to have been pre made like in one of those slushy type machines, it was a... More

Having eaten true Mexican food, (or "Tex-Mex") I'm sorry, but this is "slop." Eddie (God rest his soul) was not Mexican, he was Puerto Rican. The food all tastes the same, and the "rolling" Mariachic's are more of a pain in the butt than anything else. Mexican food is SO easy to make. Look it up in the web, and... More

My family and I have been eating at El Sombrero since they first opened. We were sad to hear of the passing of Eddie, but happy that the restaurant would remain open. However, after eating there the other night we realized how much it has changed. The salsa, which was our favorite of any restaurant, now tasted like canned tomato... More

This was my first time here and let me tell you it will certainly be my last! Dinner was three hours ago and I need some ginger ale to help settle my stomach. Table side guacamole was good , I should have stopped there. I have had much better Mexican food from a roadside truck!

We headed out her one week after Cinco de Mayo and started with fantastic Margarita's upgraded with Don Julio Tequila. My wife had a fantastic Shrimp dish and I got the number one sampler with a great assortment of Mexican goodies. Great food, good service and we will definitely be back.

Used to be a great place to go, friendly and welcoming staff, awesome environment. Lately it has really declined. The new owner doesn't care about customer service in the least bit, and they're losing great employees, who truly upheld the legacy of the establishment. It's a real shame.

We came here on a Saturday night just at about 5:30. Not many people at first but this place definitely gets packed. The food is pretty darn good. I got the mole poblano and it was excellent! Some places are a bit better but I certainly am not complaining. The decor makes you feel like your at least somewhere near... More
