Previously, we had one excellent dinner and one poor experience so we decided to try it again. This time, it was my husband's 65th birthday dinner with family, so I'm happy to report that we loved it. Very good soup, salad and entries. We also love the nutella cake!

Small little restaurant with some of the best Italian food you'll find in CT. Generous portions, reasonably priced and the food is fresh and delicious! We're treated like family whenever we go there now. As for favorite dishes, the lasagna is the best I've ever had ANYWHERE, and it's not a standard menu item, special only. And Carmela's stuffed meatballs... More

Just love this place. From appetizers to salads to the main dinner. Brings you back to the time you grew up in with mom's cooking so special. Lots of specials available.I can't say enough about the food and atmosphere.Enjoy

Excellent food and service. Very family oriented. Reasonably priced. Well worth the drive for such a great restaurant.

I've gone to "La Scogliera" many times (including twice this week). This is an Italian family run restaurant and the cuisine is as good as any of the best restaurants you might find on Arthur Ave or in Brooklyn (where I grew up). The ricotta chesscake is homemade by the wife of the chef. Some of the dishes I especially... More

La Scogliera is real authentic Italian food. Our waitress, Daniella - one of the daughters of this family owned & operated restaurant, was delightful ! Very accommodating with food changes - I don't eat veal so I was able to substitute chicken.

We have been here so many times with family, friends, etc. Anytime I have dined here no one ever complained about anything. Most of the pasta dishes are homemade along with their wonderful desserts which I believe the owner makes them herself. Nice atmosphere, but kind of small so I would recommend reservations if you go on a weekend. The... More

It was just okay. The zuppa dish was mediocre. clams casino was mediocre pasta special with mushrooms was unusual in an unpleasant way. I would choose several other italian restaurants over this one

The food here was just okay. The dish I had, mussels, calamari and a few shrimp over pasta, was not that good. The mussels were huge and the first one I ate was very gritty, turns me off. The calamari was tender so I concentrated on that. There are so many restaurants that I don't think I would go back... More

Fresh food , home cooking, Nice people. A hidden Gem. I never see a crowd here and often wonder why. They have a nice venue and Italian food is best in Shelton.
