Excellent food and service. Very family oriented. Reasonably priced. Well worth the drive for such a great restaurant.

I've gone to "La Scogliera" many times (including twice this week). This is an Italian family run restaurant and the cuisine is as good as any of the best restaurants you might find on Arthur Ave or in Brooklyn (where I grew up). The ricotta chesscake is homemade by the wife of the chef. Some of the dishes I especially... More

La Scogliera is real authentic Italian food. Our waitress, Daniella - one of the daughters of this family owned & operated restaurant, was delightful ! Very accommodating with food changes - I don't eat veal so I was able to substitute chicken.

We have been here so many times with family, friends, etc. Anytime I have dined here no one ever complained about anything. Most of the pasta dishes are homemade along with their wonderful desserts which I believe the owner makes them herself. Nice atmosphere, but kind of small so I would recommend reservations if you go on a weekend. The... More

It was just okay. The zuppa dish was mediocre. clams casino was mediocre pasta special with mushrooms was unusual in an unpleasant way. I would choose several other italian restaurants over this one

The food here was just okay. The dish I had, mussels, calamari and a few shrimp over pasta, was not that good. The mussels were huge and the first one I ate was very gritty, turns me off. The calamari was tender so I concentrated on that. There are so many restaurants that I don't think I would go back... More

Fresh food , home cooking, Nice people. A hidden Gem. I never see a crowd here and often wonder why. They have a nice venue and Italian food is best in Shelton.

I could give them more stars but good food is only as good as the server. Other than to bring the food out we had to flag down the server for everything. There were two fairly large groups and they got all of the attention. The swervers hovered around them and we were pretty much left to fend for ourselves.... More

La Scogliera started in Bridgeport Decades ago, they moved to Shelton about 10 years ago, one of the last true home made Italian restaurants in the area, family run from the beginning and that remains, don't see what you want on the menu, no worries just ask they will make it for you, says so right on the menu and...
