Cellar Door reinvented themselves about two years ago and is no longer an Italian Restaurant. It still has great pizza but it's primary focus is steaks. Very enjoyable!

Our dinner was very good and we enjoy going there. It is always consistent. The burgers and pizza are delicious.

While the Cellar Door Bistro is not your typical steak restaurant, the quality of its steaks are as good as any you might order in many of the NYC establishments

This is a great restaurant, we had not visited recently and I was encouraged to try the steak. My wife and I shared the Porterhouse, it was excellent, cooked exactly to taste and with a selection of sides and sauces. Our waitress suggested a wine to pair with the steak and i have to say she got it spot on.... More

Been here twice in the past month. Both times the NY Strip, bone -in was awesome. Great bar and seating. Remember the Plaza NY. First class style dining. From a pizza to steak. Probably the nicest in town in terms of decor food and service.

while this was a good steakhouse, the food was not worth the price they were charging. good dry aged beef, not up to nyc quality, for like $250 for two. service old fashioned italian, a little overbearing but nice, i hear they have good pizza, though, special occasions only, though i'd pick someplace better for a real celebration, like porter... GLUTEN FREE ALERT! The steak I ordered was so full of fat and pepper, that it was almost inedible. The service had been so poor that I decided to cut off the top of the steak instead of sending it back. We have had 2 aweful experiences at this restaurant. My husband and I called in advance, and I advised... More

I sit here hesitating writing this review. Why? Because I don't think I have enough adjectives in my vocabulary. Let's start with the bartender Chrisy(sorry if I spelt it wrong). Rarely do I remember names, but she was off the charts awesome. Felt like we've been going here forever. Even the patrons around us were like old friends. The homemade... More

Very good food in a New York style atmosphere The area's best kept secret is the Cellar Door's seafood soup. It's an appetizer but combine it with their wonderful caesar salad..voila, you have a meal. The menue contains a whole page of individual pizzas..which are good but not great. Pizza because of the calories should be phenomenal. The service is... More
