Actually did like the food

This venue is located at the Southington Country Club, serving as a local gathering place. We were told there were no reservations accepted so first come first serve. It was early on a Friday night, and the parking lot was packed. There is a large outdoor area which is also first come first serve and that was standing room only. Our intimate group of five was accommodated inside the large venue, featuring a very large active and happening bar. We were seated quickly and given menus promptly. The waitress was extremely polite however it took forever to get our drinks, then to order our meals, and then to finally get our meals—There seem to be a lot of staff buzzing around but for whatever reason, we were left to wait around a lot! The fair was typical pub food, and the menu quite large. We all opted for quick easy meals and quite honestly, I speak for the group when I say we actually all enjoyed our choices very much. We started with eggplant fries which were incredibly tasty, perfectly flash fried. I opted for the turkey burger with American cheese – – it usually comes with avocado and special sauce both of which really added to the flavor. Lightly spiced fries on the side were crispy and memorable. My one regret was it took so incredibly long to get my meal, I wanted to but simply didn’t have the time to finish my food before we had to leave. Would plan a return but would hope that things move along a little more quickly

I dine here once in while, more in the summer than winter. I enjoy the patio dining at the fire pit tables. Their pizza is excellent but I think a little pricey. The rest of the menu, not so much. I have ordered some of their sandwiches and just ok. Nothing special. Sometimes the service is terrible sometimes ok but not great. If you are looking for a place to go and have a couple of drinks and split a pizza or have appetizers it will fit your needs.

Great experience!

We had our holiday party for work here again this year and it was perfect! The food is always great, the service is spot on, there is always someone right there to help if you need anything. The room was decorated beautifully since they still had their Holiday decorations up. I would highly recommend the Back Nine for any type of event or celebration.

We hosted a rehearsal dinner at Back Nine and everything was great... We had a buffet dinner and everyone really liked the food and the staff was very nice; flexible and very accommodating...

Wonderful private event!

We attended a private surprise birthday party. The food was excellent and plentiful with an amazing attentive staff. The private room is definitely something to consider for a private event. I had been here years ago and ate in the lounge overlooking beautiful views of the golf course etc. The menu offers many choices, do give them a try.

The restaurant at New Britain's Stanley Golf Course just got a fabulous makeover thanks to their new licensee - Cheshire's famous Aquaturf. Great new bar (loads of TVs) great comfort food and affordable menu, wonderful service and great views from inside or out. Loved the pizza, meatloaf sandwich and unusual Caesar salad. Old vibe gone. Great new vibe ( including palm trees) at Stanley, just south of West Farms.

Nasty waitress Deborah

We come here regularly for board meetings. The waitress Deborah was so nasty and would not come in the room to wait on us. She actually walked through probably 20 times for one thing or another but still would not stop and take my order. We've eaten in the room many times and give the restaurant lots of business. Why she decided on her own to not serve us is beyond me. They lost lots of business tonight and made me reconsider using this room in the future for any parties. Would not want her representing anything with my name on it.

walked out due to no no smoking area

I asked the owner if the outside was a none smoking area and he gave me an attitude that smoking is OK outside. I left.

The Backnine Brunch

Just wanted to say that I read stop the DJ and have to apologize.Not that we can please everyone but our Brunch with a DJ has done really well. We take mass phone calls for reservations but none needed.We have tried different things and this has been the most popular as friends and customers keep saying how they can't wait for Brunch on Sunday's.The brunch might not be for everyone but he only plays from 11-3.If u do want brunch but feel the DJ is to much we do start Brunch at 10.

Stop the DJ, please

We went on Sunday for beers and lunch. We sat outside because for some odd reason the management decided to have a DJ. Please stop this idea. The food was good but the service was really slow.

Great Spot!

This place offers a nice menu, great waitstaff, and relaxed atmosphere. Stop in after a round of golf to have some fun. The menu includes gourmet burgers and other pub fare. Tasty and delicious.
