Staff was very friendly and attentive. Oysters are a must if you love them or not! Quaint little town. Had the squash stuffed with goat cheese.. to die for - but you only get 2 so order 4. I highly recommend you visit here if you are passing through Saybrook.

We went there for the happy hour and I gather that it is one of the best restaurants in town. We had the oyster platter, which was fine, and two beers, which were fine, but the strange thing was that they offered only one beer, one white wine, and one red wine for happy hour...why no choice?

Restaurant was nice and service was good but did not enjoy my lobster roll. Not enough lobster in the roll!

We had heard of Liv’s Oyster Bar in Old Saybrook and in particular, their Happy Hour. So my wife, daughter, and I decided to give ‘em a try. Happy Hour is from 4pm to 6pm and they’re closed on Tuesday. The restaurant is ideally located on Main Street in Old Saybrook at what used to be a theatre. The restaurant... More

I have yet to have a bad meal - EVER. I take my customers to here solely for the oysters. I know have them keeping a list on their iPhones of what ones they like the most. The food is amazing. Whether it's the salmon to the French fires, there isn't anything bad on the menu. The menu is small,... More

My husband ordered the Salt Pond oysters for an appetizer and said they were tremendous. He had the seared tuna and I ordered the fish tacos. We were both very impressed with our choices. Our server, Bryan did a terrific job taking care of us. Great evening!

Loved the food at liv's. The pan roasted chicken with cannelloni beans and spinach was so juicy and delicious. The pan seared scallops were a wonderful treat . The service was impeccable! Such a great night.

everything amazing. Drinks, dinner, atmosphere, service. Can't go wrong. Better than Aspen, Fresh Salt, etc.. Also tip your shucker - the oysters are AMAZING!

This is one of my favorite dining spots in Connecticut. My family had the ultimate dining experience at this fantastic seafood restaurant eating outside on their patio on a Friday evening. I had hands down the best dish of the year which was a pan seared sea bass with couscous, shrimp, eggplant, fava beans and a mild curry sauce. Unbelievable.... More

We had smoked trout with golden beets & potato pancakes with was amazing (!) followed by lobster rolls full of big delicious bits of lobster. We sat outside and enjoyed the balmy night over delicious fare. Very enjoyable.
