We had smoked trout with golden beets & potato pancakes with was amazing (!) followed by lobster rolls full of big delicious bits of lobster. We sat outside and enjoyed the balmy night over delicious fare. Very enjoyable.

Went on a Sunday and had no trouble getting a table right away . The drinks were fine and we split the Liv's Truffle fries as an appetizer . My husband had the Haddock which was fantastic and I had the roast chicken which was overlooked . We will try again as its a great space and the service was... More

My wife and I spent two weeks on an East Coast adventure. Liv's was our BEST meal, hands down. We spent one night in Connecticut in Old Lyme, across the river from Old Saybrook. We had a hankering for some Oysters, so figured we'd head over to Liv's to get a dozen. We walked in with no reservations around 6PM,... More

Friday night with two 20-somethings and their three ancient relatives was great eating, drinking and pleasantries for all of us. The room was full [as were the sidewalk tables] but nothing was rushed or pressured. We had excellent service and excellent shell fish. The Shellfish Taster appetizer for the table included one of each of the six types of oysters... More

Favorite restaurant for miles around. However, doesn't stop us trying lots of places :) Love the P.E. Mussels- the sauce is to die for. Service is friendly and in the backgr ound. The atmosphere is contemporary. Just dressy enough to feel " out to dinner" but not too much to make it feel fussy

Went for the happy hour in hopes of good oysters..... Eh. Ok prices. Teeny tiny appetizers. Spent much more on dinner than I usually do & left unsatisfied.

We decided to stick with appetizers to see more of what was offered. Great oysters, terrific goat cheese stuffed squash blossoms, great heirloom tomato salad & the BEST tuna tartare EVER! Cocktails were great as was our server & dessert!!

Stopped for dinner before the show at the Kate. Tried their oysters, which were excellent. Clam chowder was not too thick and very smoky bacon flavored --excellent! Happy hour Malbec only $5. Hangar steak nicely presented and very good. Fish tacos and salad tasty, although the baked fish was likely bluefish with a strong flavor. Waitress was sweet and helpful... More

Excellent food. Started with oysters, then halibut, swordfish and tuna (well there were three of us ) ending with Pavlova and brownie desserts. Looking forward to a return visit.

This could have been the best meal of my year. The food is superb and we love the restaurants atmosphere. However, the service was lacking in so many ways, including those that could make a meal like this special. It was also an anniversary meal, though we did not share that with the restaurant and did not ask for anything... More

Liv's is the brainchild of John Brescio. He is a French Culinary Institute-trained chef who worked at Tavern on the Green and Judson Grill in New York as well as Aux Delices in Greenwich. Liv's is names for the Brescio's young daughter Olivia, a photogenic tyke whose black and white blowups grace the walls.
