One of the better pad Thai that I have had. The green curry was amazing. Nice decor and surprisingly large interior. Good service and I will definitely return

With a sleeping preschooler in the car, I called in an order of beef satay and fresh (uncooked) spring rolls for dinner and waited in the car the 20 minutes I was told it would take. Carried sleepy princess in and was grateful for the sitting area and fish near the register while we continued to wait. Portions were skimpy... More

It has been about a year since we last ate here. Was concerned when I saw a review that said it took a long time to be served. But we were waited on as soon as we sat down. Appetizers came almost instantly. Main course was also served quickly. Food was delicious. Staff was friendly. Menus could use some updating.... More

If they want to be a restaurant or a take-out place... We've come here pretty regularly over the years and have noticed a real drop since Linda opened her third location. Yesterday we felt very sorry for our server, who acted as hostess, server, phone wrangler, cashier and take-out window. The problem was with the kitchen. Though there were at... More

Decent food, reasonable prices, below average decor. Small restaurant, we went without reservations and were seated on the side out of the small main dining room. The area was very cold and even when asked for heat it stayed cold. Wonton soup was very good, loaded with fresh vegetables. "Drunken spaghetti" special was favorable, served with shrimp but somewhat meager... More

Som Siam serves ok Thai food--not terribly authentic, not super delicious, but just ok. There are much better Thai restaurants around, but this is perfectly acceptable.

Disappointed by lack of vegetarian options in appetizers as well as main dishes. And the only veggie App was greasy and bland.. Even the carnivores in our group were disappointed /underwhelmed by their chicken satay app. For our main course we all ordered 'Drunken Spaghetti'. This was pan fried noodles, veggies and your choice of chicken , tofu or beef.... More

Som Siam is a local restaurant to us and we have visited there as a couple or with large groups of people. The food is always good and prepared quickly. The wait staff is always very pleasant. The dish that I really like lately is the crispy garlic duck. All the foods eaten here have been good. We have come... More

I ordered take-out from Som Siam and was pleasantly surprised at how authentic and delicious the green curry was. Having been to Thailand, I'm a tough critic, and I really enjoyed the flavors of the dish. I will definitely be returning to try something else!

I've been to both the Guilford and Branford restaurants and in my view this one is the best of the three. It was a spur of the moment visit; spring rolls were very good albeit a little bland, chicken satays were excellent served with a nice peanut sauce. Drunken Chicken is I refer to it was the best I've had... More
