This a great place to get an ice cream or burger and sit on the picnic tables overlooking the marsh. The prices are good and the quality is better. If you like ginger, you will LOVE the ginger ice cream.

I don't mind spending 20.00 for a lobster roll, but at least put some lobster in it. For reference, the roll in the picture is about 5" long.

Clean and old-fashioned, a little drive in sort of restaurant like I went to in the 60's--or in Maine along York Beach....we ordered lobster rolls and fries-wow!!! we sat on picnic benches to wait(not too long, it was a sunny, breezy day and we listened to the marsh grass rustle nearby) then came succulent, full of meat lobster-rolls and very... This is the CT shoreline. Anyone who advertises " scallops" and serves cheap Chinese bay scallops should be strung up from a streetpole. $17 for eight, greasy, miniscule thinly breaded bay scallops served with frozen crinkle cut fries! Awful ending to what had been a great day. And we had three orders of this crap. Worst $60 I ever spent.

I am reviewing ice cream only-I saw homemade creamsicle ice cream on the menu and just HAD to have it. The flavor was good, however the texture was awful. Full of air and ice crystals. What's up with that? I gave it one star on flavor alone.

We went twice, once for ice cream which was good but not as good as the scoop shop up the street. We also had a burger and fries one night and that was very good. The young staff likes to chat with each other too much so service is slow. Not bad for a beach area burger joint.

Ice cream not as good as it was with previous owner. Surroundings much improved. Adequate parking. All in all a pleasant time.

We had to go back for more. The ice cream is so delicious! It is difficult to choose which flavor to order!

Wow, I haven't actually been to Hallmark since the last time I vacationed at the beach in Old Lyme but our family has been vacationing there off and on for many many years. My grandparents used to go there, and we went in 2011. It wouldn't be a vacation in Old Lyme if we didn't go there for ice cream... More

The ice cream here is good. I usually get the sundae. The hot fudge is delectable. The ice cream is great. I also get the delicious cookie dough. X rating 4.5
