Wanted ice cream on the way home, Googled a shop and this one came up... great ice cream, nice little shop... Only negative is the fact we felt bad for the workers, no ac and crazy hot inside! They were working hard

The ice cream is homemade and is fresh, variety of flavors. The staff is very attentive and friendly. There is lots of outdoor seating available. No bathroom available for patrons.

One of my pleasant discoveries is the Old Lyme Ice Cream Shoppe on Lyme Street. They make their own ice cream, which is scrumptious. My favorites so far Salted Carmel and Agatha Crispy.

Finally got back as season opened-unfortunately found out my favorite dog had some surgery so is not back often...but today I saw the ice cream du jour-homemade angel food cake, blueberries, I think choc chip ice cream and maybe black raspberry-whipped crème. I just got a few scoops of very creamy salted caramel and choc chip- but saw the confection... More

I appreciate how this is homemade ice cream, however their scoop portions are not at all generous for the price... you would think that for paying $5 for a 2 scoop they would give heaping portions that fill over the top of the cup, but sadly that is not the case. I only received 2 very skimpy scoops. Ice cream... More

Cute bustling little sandwich-and-some- o- the-best -ice-cream-on-earth -shop! Folks come with their kids to take out dripping luscious cones, or sit more sedately outside and lick their cones-others stay awhile for a yummy sandwich and some bring their dogs by-there is one very special dog, a big darling, friendly mastiff who has my heart--he loves to be patted and makes... A great place in the center of town where kids, teens, adults and grandparents gather and mix to taste the best ice cream in town!

The Old Lyme Ice Cream Shoppe has the best sundaes. The have great flavors and toppings. The only negative is that the ice cream is very soft and I prefer a more solid texture. Love ordering and enjoying the treats sitting outside!

The Old Lyme Ice Cream Shoppe has both great ice cream, and friendly service. Easily accessed in the center of town, you can enjoy the sights or enjoy a short walk to the library after lunch. Pretty "cool".
