Had a take-out pizza for Mother's Day from Ro's. If you want a good sausage pizza, this is your place. If you are looking for a new age kale pizza, this is not your place. I hadn't had a Ro's pizza for some time and...my Mom and my sisters all said how much they missed the taste of a good sausage and mushroom pizza. Thank you Ro's for still keeping it real.More

I went here with my partner that said this place was his favorite pizza place ever, he grew up here and used to always go here, so he took me here... what a shame, pizza was horrible. We will never be back. Sauce was flavorless,...crust sucked, canned mushrooms, what a massive disappointment. And they only had one server for the whole restaurant. I felt bad for her, also our pizza told 35 minutes to come out. We will never be back. This visit ruined his memory of this place.More

After living away from Ct for 15 years I brought my partner for dinner. I had raved about how great this place was for months prior to our return. We stopped last Sunday afternoon for a late lunch. The service was terrible having only one...waitress for the entire restaurant. The Pizza was horrible. They must use the cheapest ingredients now and the dough had zero flavor. I’m so disappointed that the quality pizzas that were once were delicious , are no more 😢 I definitely would not return again. Very sad and disappointed 😞More

After living in Oakville CT, I have enjoyed the amazing pizza served here for just over 35 yrs. Every time I come back to CT Ro’s is on the top of places to eat. We arrived on Wednesday around 5:30pm and drove directly to Ro’s,...Unfortunately, the pizza really didn’t hit the mark. Figuring that maybe our expectations were a bit high (even though that was never the case on previous visits) we went back on Friday for lunch. Once again we were disappointed. The crust was much thicker than ever before. We always order extra sauce yet we didn’t get that on either day. Maybe after 70 years they’re tired. We will give it another shot next time we are in town and make our final decision whether to take it off our list or not. Too bad.More

Pizza is highly subjective, but we think that this is THE best around! Have been going here for over 40 years. Great crust and sauce. Reasonable prices. Highly recommend you try the sausage and mushroom....mmmmm!

An iconic local pizza parlor. You won't get a bad pizza but I noticed over the past few years that the pizza lacks consistency? Different or new chefs perhaps? My only real complaint is that they no longer use cornmeal on the bottom of the...crust. Definitely worth the trip...More

What has happened to our once favorite family pizza restaurant? The bar drinks are watered down, the tables are sticky, the well-worn rug looks dirty, dark and dingy. The brick-oven Pizza is no longer anything special. The once gooey stringy cheese is oily and flat,...a sign of cheap cheese. The sauce has no taste, The sausage is ok. The menu used to state that Ro's proudly served Scalafano products, which are high-end Italian products. But it seems all that has changed, but why skimp and change a once great and popular product. Appetizers have been noticeably smaller: chicken wings appear to be from pigeons; and the antipasto is much smaller than previously, the meat on the antipasto is cheap and half the portion of what it used to be! Prices for everything on the menu have continued to skyrocket, while the quality has greatly depreciated , The availability of the wait staff has diminished in the last few years also. The server(s) have always been friendly but seriously understaffed lately. There have been many occasions where one person has been responsible for handling the 2-3 dining rooms and sometimes the bar as well. In years past It was very common to see many people lining up to pickup their take-out pizza orders, the bar and restaurant booths were filled with people of all ages, couples, various sports teams with their coaches, and happy families, as well as celebrations in the large room. Ro' s Restaurant was a wonderful place to come enjoy great food, and terrific, friendly service. The late Mr. Rosaire Bernier, the restaurant's namesake, labored long and hard creating and building this wonderful family-owned and run restaurant and brick-oven pizza business. Mr. Rosaire Bernier, "Ro", is no doubt looking down very disappointed to see his life's work going downhill and being ruined. Is it too late to regain Ro's great former reputation and food???More

My parents dated here 55 years ago. The pizza is my favorite. Crust and sauce is unique. The cheese goes over the edges and gets golden brown there. Awesome. Good other food and salad. Draft beer great with the pizza. Old but updated inside, not...enough to ruin it's character though. To-go pizza still comes in a brown paper bag. I'd like to go now!More
