Food was average, service was HORRIBLE! Server's attitude was negative and rude, come to find out she's the owner!
-Charged us $11 for a watered down Margarita with only a pinch of liquor in it. (No salt on the rim, no lime, no cute little...umbrella)
-Chicken Chimichanga was very small, came with a teaspoon of guacamole, teaspoon of pico de gallo, bland black beans and side of rice
-1st basket of tortilla chips were complimentary, but were bordering on burnt more than crispy.
Charged us several dollars for the 2nd basket and only found out when we got the bill.
-She tacked on another 4% CONVENIENCE FEE for not paying cash!

Worst part of it all, was that she had a "get out of my store if you don't like it" attitude when we asked her about these charges on the final bill.
There are plenty of Mexican restaurants in Norwalk with Great customer service, sadly this isn't one of them. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.More
had dinner with my husband and it was the real deal. Fresh Mexican prepared in the true tradition using fresh ingredients and not Americanized Tex-Mex. Mayra and her husband run a simple yet clean establishment and the service is terrific. I would go back every...day for breakfast which is served all day. Portions are very generous and prices can't be beat. A brisk number of take out orders during dinner. Very family friendly too. Loved our dinner there and will be back soonMore
I have had a lot of mediocre Mexican in Connecticut. Los Poblanos is a real exception. We have eaten here probably 30 times and only one time did I not love my food. The owner is always suggesting things he knows we would like but...is also fine when I spilt something with my daughter. The food is fresh and it's authentic, not just Mexican but regional. The only negative thing I can say is I have occasionally they seemed unstaffed. Don't be put off by the funky strip mall it sits in.
It's funky, but it's not fast food really, it's a proper meal. My daughter picks this over much more expensive options in the this area. There is really something for everyone, whether you are adventurous or just want nachos.More
Really pleased to see that this small mexican restaurant is still serving excellent meals. Visited in December, 2014, and had the vegetarian enchilada, the chicken tacos, and two sauces with chips. The meals are presented well, the service was perfectly fine, and the two lunch...entrees were excellent, seasoned perfectly, fresh vegetables, and juicy chicken. Recommended. CHMore
This was a pleasant surprise in a small, unassuming location. Clean dining room, friendly staff, good food. No hint of the stereotypical microwaved plates served elsewhere. I had a delicious chili relleno that you could tell was made to order with a fresh chili pepper....Really good for that Mex Jones.More
Tried a series of vegetarian plates here, for take out. The veggie tacos were outstanding, as were the burritos. Perfectly seasoned homemade salsa accompanied our dishes, along with an excellent guacamole dish, freshly made. Has the feel of homemade cooking - I think an seasoned...expert is in the back making these outstanding meals. Disregard the exterior appearance - it is not too good. There is parking here, but a little tight getting in and out. Definitely give this a try. Recommended.More
This is little place is in a strip mall - making it difficult to notice & park. We actually drove by twice to fine the right place to pull & in park.
The food is home cooked Mexican - which I personally love. The homemade...chips are great and come with 2 unique pureed sauces. The main dishes were generous, nicely presented & tasty. The food was a bit spicy for my hubby, who likes bland food, it was a special treat for me. The gentleman who took our order, described the dishes & custom did dishes for all of us. The rice was execellent as were the encheiladas.
While not fancy dining, the inside was brightly painted & smelled wonderful.More
