We stopped in for a late lunch and essentially had the place to ourselves. The restaurant was very bright and vibrant. As soon as we got in the staff was very pleasant and sat us right away. The hostess and waiter were very nice and helpful.
For our meal my girlfriend had the birra tacos which were very tasty. I had the steak with chimichurri sauce. It was cooked at a perfect medium temperature. My steak was served with yucca fries which were tasty. I also had a side order of Brussel sprouts which were perfectly cooked. The meal was delicious; to end the meal we had a dessert called milhojas which translates to a thousand leaves. It was delicious, puff pastry with crème anglaise and berries. It was so good.

Alma Bistro is amazing. We have been going a couple times a week since they opened. It’s so hard to find good customer service today but the manager, staff and owners are unbelievable. They are so attentive to every customer and make you feel like you are the only one at the restaurant. Our favorites are the tuna tostada, chicken empanadas, guacamole, grilled octopus( this is honestly next level. It is so hard to cook but they knock it out of the park every time). We have tried most things in the menu and everything is delicious. You really need to try this place because there is nothing else like it. I promise you that you will not be disappointed.

We enjoyed a fabulous meal at Alma Bistro. We started with the Gambas con Chorizo, which featured a delicious garlic sauce, some little fried balls, flavorful chorizo, and perfectly cooked shrimp. We also tried the crispy artichoke appetizer, which was very tasty. We split the swordfish special with cilantro rice—a fantastic dish! The swordfish was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and all of the components added to the overall experience. For dessert, we had the passion fruit panna cotta, which was refreshing and delicious—one of the best panna cottas I’ve ever had. Definitely worth a trip to try out!

This is a 5 star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ unbelievable food experience.The flavors are absolutely divine.. Being foodies and former restaurant owners we travel the world for flavors that explode in your mouth and food quality such as tenderness.. The calmari Octopus melted in your mouth while the ceviche exploded with flavors that I haven’t tasted in a long time..I saw the poor review but I would disregard that a go try it…It’s that amazing

We came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday. We had a delightful evening because of the amazing service and excellent food. Everything we ordered (tacos, tuna tostada, octopus & burger) can be described as delicious and the drinks were fantastic. We will be back and telling people about this place!

Incredible food, attentive and friendly staff, kid friendly and really beautifully clean and remodeled space! Looks like a hole in the wall on the outside but like a brand new restaurant on the inside which a great vibe.
Went with my wife, daughter, sister and our mothers, we all had a really nice time and will definitely be back!

This is going to be on our list of go to restaurants in Norwalk. Great menu. Good cocktails and a fabulous Malbec. Did I mention the desserts? How delicious they all were. Service and servers cheerful and very helpful.

I saw the first review and am blown away how far off base reviewer was. Alma’s Bistro is simply addictive. I have gone once a week since its opening. The décor is unpretentious and homey. The staff, all the staff, go above and beyond to make you feel like family. The manager is always friendly, informative and makes everyone feel welcome. This is one of the primary reasons we keep coming back. The service is always with a smile.
I consider myself a long time foody. I would put Alma’s up against any restaurant in the Latin and or Latin fusion genre in the tri-state area, including Manhattan.
I was blown away by the flavor and quality of the food.
Start with the basics. Guacamole. This is a great indicator of what was to come. It was well balanced and leagues above others I have tried. If a restaurant gets a staple such as Guacamole right ,which they did, I knew things were looking up.
One dish that will keep me coming back is the Tuna tostada. Well balanced dish of Miso, Ginger and Sesame oil and avocado with fresh Tuna was simply amazing. The Grilled octopus is outstanding. Octopus is difficult at best to cook well, particularly when it is grilled you can’t hide behind excessive breading. The octopus was cooked perfectly. I would have never thought to serve with onions and celery with heirloom potatoes with smoked pepper puree. Yummy!
The Birria Taco is amazing. The consume dipping sauce is a wonderful compliment. The dish reminds me of childhood homemade beef stew on Sunday. The chicken and steak Pinchos are a staple. I can’t get enough. The chimichurri is superior to any I have had. I make it at home regularly and can’t get close to the flavors Alma’s is able to obtain. Another favorite is the Gambas con chorizo. The garlic, white wine and thyme sauce is simply sublime. The prawns perfectly cooked. I love chorizo. Alma’s is amazing. I could go on about the other dishes. Alma’s has regular special which I look forward to on my next visit.
All I can say, get a table as soon as you can!

The administrators need to know that they should not only invest in the premises but also in the personnel that serves the clients. Appetizers and main courses served at the same time; a manager with an unbearable ego and very average food does not make me want to repeat the visit
