Best food in Norwalk. I’ve been to Greece and this food is amazing. This is a family operation and the food is always fresh and delicious. I’m glad that they have table service again. One of my favorite restaurants anywhere. Good prices.
The menu offered variety but all truly Greek rather than token Mediterranean offerings, at very reasonable prices. The service was prompt and friendly, the appetizers and entrees nicely presented and delicious, and slightly customized to my request (calamari without breading). The wines were inexpensive, all...Greek, and there's a higher-end wine list available on request, again reasonably priced. Tables well spaced. A very nice find for weary travellers.More
Decent but not extraordinary food which was too salty. Plain decor and super noisy. Quasi table service so you’re kind of obligated to tip for that.
Being Greek, I am always a little critical of Greek restaurants. I always compare them to my mothers cooking. Well Pontos Taverna definitely ranks up there. The wait staff was very friendly, the food was delivered to our table quick and warm. The food was...just like my mothers. I ordered the chicken souvlaki platter and my wife ordered a Greek salad, which by the way, should be called a village salad as it does not contain lettuce. Only tomatoes, olives, cucumber, onion and peperoncini pepper. My chicken was moist, the Tzatziki was perfectly make and the pita were warm. We will definitely be backMore

Pontos was one of our favorites restaurants prior to pandemic. We went for dinner the other night and found they changed to “self service”. Menu is posted on the wall. We ordered at the counter and was told food would be brought to our table....Food was served on paper plates and plastic utensils we picked up at the counter. What a disappointment…The quality of the food was still very good. Doubt it very much if we will return…So sad.More

I’ve been going here for about 10 years and it gets better every time. From the Feta to the the octopus you really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. I live in New York and would choose Pontos over Avra or Milos any...day. The best Horatiki salad I’ve ever had hands down. If you ever happen to be close by, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Unbelievably nice staff that will make you feel like family. This place is a 10/10 - MUST TRY!More

We heard this was great and we were not disappointed. Greek salad was enough to share and we had the grilled chicken, and grilled pork entrees, both prepared with olive oil, herbs, wine and lemon - “man style”, gluten free. Everything was delicious! Right now,...parking is good at the closed Garden Cinema, but when that lot becomes unavailable, parking might be a challenge . But the restaurant was excellent and reasonably priced .More
We just returned from Greece and were craving more Greek food. Pontos exceeded our expectations in every way! The food is incredibly delicious and so fresh! We will be regulars. Portions are great and the service is attentive. Love it!
It’s our once a week place .. I start off with a wine 🍷 vin de Crete so light and delish ...and s Greek salad with real Greek olive oil and seasoning with red luscious tomatoes even in winter ..you can get family style of...orzo and stuffed grape leaves .. wonderful beets and broad beans in red sauce ..I love the chicken souvlaki platter with taziki sauce .. you can have anything you wAnt made with the best and fresh ingredients ...try the restMore
This restaurant was our first experience with Greek food and it was amazing! Good portion sizes, great service and great food. The waiter (Teddy) was very descriptive of all the dishes and offered great recommendations, overall very accommodating. Even our toddlers enjoyed their food and...that never happens!
