I don't care for sushi but my wife loves sushi. I had a few different types of appetizers I loved every single bite the food is simply delicious. We went there again second time (this time for lunch) same yummy food and great friendly service....This is not a fancy place but it's very clean, and food is fresh and yummy.More

Beautiful presentation and amazing New York quality sushi! Don't let the modest atmosphere dissuade you. A true gem in central Connecticut. No other local sushi restaurant compares.

The meals here are as close to perfection as I've ever had. I'm not exaggerating when I compare their sushi to true ambrosia; to my palette, it tastes like I imagine the "food of the gods" would. More astonishing, this level of quality is reproduced...each visit. In the many years I have eaten here, I haven't experienced an off-night yet. My favorite choices are among the many different rolls offered. Each is crafted neatly with obvious skill and caring, from fresh seafood of high quality. Even a simple California Roll is prepared with first class preference. Having sampled some 65% of the menu, I can safely guarantee a sushi fan's satisfaction. It's also worth mentioning that their non-sushi entrees and appetizers are excellent as well. Every once in a while I'll opt for their chicken or steak teriyaki, and it's always been pleasing. Almost every meal includes an order of their tasty gyoza, a superb treat I cannot resist! Comparable to the food is the service, which is also exemplary. Friendly and fast, with great attention to detail; you'll soon feel comfortable and pampered. The front of house is eager to please, and the chef is quite knowledgeable about Japanese culinary arts. Guests are treated respectfully, regardless of dining in or taking out. I've had the pleasure of eating here just a few days ago. Having eaten here many times, our party was expecting a decent meal. But once again, expectations were far exceeded and we found ourselves ordering roll after roll. It's almost impossible to suggest my favorite, because everything seems to surpass whatever came before! If you enjoy sushi, you must try this wonderful restaurant.More

First time here with friend, note I am not a big fan of sushi. But I must say the food was good and fresh. Just wish there was salt on the table lol. You start off with a warm towel which is a treat if...you have been on the road a bit. Menu is huge !!. Food price point is a tad high but the taste is good .... so if you like sushi this is the place for you.More

This is a hidden gem. Tucked away in a shopping mall, Tokyo Sushi II is an amazing place, with amazing sushi and sashimi served on beautifully presented plates. The price is great for amazing quality fish, with a special shout out to the white tuna....Great value for individual orders of sashimi! Pick your favorites and repeat as desired! Strongly recommend.More

This restaurant, located in a strip mall in North Haven is one that you should seek out. The fish is always fresh, service (whether it's eat in or take out) is excellent, menu has lots of options and the bottom line is that it's very...good and reasonably priced. If you live anywhere near North Haven, it should be added to your list of Japanese restaurants.More

I have been to this restaurant two times now and was extremely impressed with the quality of the sushi on both occasions! They take reservations and have the table set up and waiting for you by the time you get there. What impressed me most...was their extensive list of specialty rolls; in addition they had several specials listed on the boards in the restaurant (although many are similar to rolls already on their menu). Some rolls came with as many as 16 pieces, such as the tornado roll which is so filling and has a delicious smoky taste (super original)! I have also had some of their deep fried rolls: volcano roll and 2006 roll (2006 is spicy). I have not had one roll that I have been unsatisfied with, although the deep fried rolls are larger pieces and fall apart easily! They provide steamed hand towels before the meal and serve only beer, wine, and saki for alcoholic beverage. On a busy Friday night, the orders were a little backed up, so we were provided with edamame on the house which was a pleasant surprise. As for price - extremely fair, equal to the cost of specialty rolls at other sushi restaurants but better quality and several had bigger portions! Make sure to print out a coupon available on their website before dining!More
