As we walked in the Norfolk Pub on a Saturday night, we noticed there wasn't enough room to sit at the bar. The big and round blonde waitress walked up to us and asked if she could help us. I nicely told her, "we are...interested in sitting at the bar but there isn't enough room". She quickly and snarkily replied, "oh, there won't be space at the bar for a while"..... So I nicely asked, "is there was a table we could sit at to get some drinks"?....she again snarkily replied, "Oh, I've heard that before"....and then went on to snarkily say, "let me stop what I'm doing and help you". Then she started to clear a table right next to us and someone in our party said "Oh, don't worry about clearing all of that....the waitress turned to her and gave her a dirty look and a roll of the eyes. So... we sat at the table. Once the big and round blonde waitress finally came back, we gave our drink orders. About 10 minutes later, she delivered the drinks almost knocking into me, didn't say a word, and so I handed out the drinks to my other two family members. We finished our drinks and would have ordered another round, but we felt so unwelcomed that we decided to pay our bill and head next door for the concert. Well, we waited and waited for our big and round blonde waitress....and waited and waited...so we finally asked another waitress walking by if she could please get us our check. This waitress, who was so sweet and smiled to us and said sure, but when she returned she asked us if this was our check and we said no that we had 3 drinks. She apologized, and went back to find our check. So a couple of minutes later...here comes our big and round blonde waitress from across the room shouting two times at us, "IS THIS WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR...IS THIS WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR.....we were happy to finally get the check so we could pay and get the hell out of the Norfolk Pub!!! Well, guess who disappeared again...you guessed it, the big and round blonde waitress was nowhere to be seen for about 15 minutes....so finally we went to the bar and handed our payment and check to the nice waitress that tried to help us and she was able to cash us out....needless to say, we couldn't wait to leave!!!!!!! I will never, ever go to the Norfolk Pub ever again!!! The big and round blonde waitress obviously needs more training on how to treat customers!!!!!!!More

I spend 3 weeks in Norfolk hose sitting and never have to touch the stove. I enjoy the delicious food and always have great service. On 2 occasions I met friends for lunch. We had such a great time in the restaurant. I also sat...at the bar. And also outside. Each visit better than the one before. I am back in town for the Library Book Sale. See you thenMore

The restaurant is called the Norfolk Pub, so possibly it is under new management. We arrived at 5 o’clock and sat outside. Shortly later, all the other tables filled. Although we were there before anyone else, Our order was taken last. So We waited an...hour to get our food, having to watch everyone else eating their food. In previous visits, the mussels were so delicious in a wonderful broth. This time the broth basically had no flavor at all. We were very disappointed in the service provided.More

Wood Creek Bar & Grill is lovely restaurant. It is very warm and inviting inside. I love the large bookshelf that is right next to the door and the books in every window. Ricky helped us place a take out order and he was so...patient with my cousin who asks loads of questions. I really appreciated it. Their bean burger is fantastic. It is loaded with avocado on top and comes with their own home made salsa. The flavors of the burger are so good I didn't want to put anything on top like catsup or mustard to distract from the taste of the burger. The fries that are served with it really compliment the dish. I highly recommend the Wood Creek Bar & Grill. They have excellent atmosphere, food and staff.More

We had planned on eating at the Wood Creek on Wednesday night when we arrived in the Norfolk area. Unfortunately, although their website & answering machine said they were open that night, they had changed their open days & were closed. They need to update...their communications. So we ate at other area restaurants.More

We have eaten at this restaurant on several occasions & always had a great meal. During Covid, we wanted to support them and ordered take out in the spring and then ate outside when the weather was warmer. Most of our meals were very good....One take out meal of fish was disappointing. It was cod and the portion was so small. Maybe 4 oz. I would rather pay a little extra and have a meal I was satisfied with. Then one warm night in August we dined outside with our daughter and grandson. About 30 minutes after ordering I asked one if the waiters when our food might be out. Shortly after a woman came out and announced to everyone on the patio that the kitchen was 130 degrees and if we didn't like waiting for our food, we could basically dine elsewhere. Maybe they need a better air conditioner in the kitchen. We thought the announcement was extremely rude and off putting.More

For years Wood Creek Bar and Grill has been our “go to” for anniversaries, birthdays, trivia night, karaoke night and any night we don’t feel like cooking (which is a lot of nights). The food is consistently good, the environment is warm and inviting and...the specials are amazing! In fact, the hot buttered lobster roll is better than the one I get each summer on the coast of Maine. Don’t let the most recent negative reviews deter you. Clearly some folks have forgotten we’re in the midst of a global pandemic or their sense of taste has faltered, due to said pandemic. The owners and staff have a fierce sense of dedication to bring delicious food to our small town despite the hardships of 2020. We adore you, Wood Creek!More

We were staying in a nearby inn and walked down for dinner on a Sunday. We (along with probably a dozen other people) were turned away because the restaurant actually ran out of food. They were giving patrons who had already been seated whatever they...had left, and ended up closing early. I'm not sure if this was a fluke but I guess I would say that, considering it's the only restaurant in town, you may want to have a backup plan in place. We were a little disappointed.More

.... but possibly the most horrendous meal in all of NW CT and the Berkshires combined. Ordered calamari which was cloyingly sweet - someone had thrown an entire bottle of Thai sweet chili sauce over it with the thought that the side of savory dip...would go well. The roast beef on the namesake sandwich wasn't even worthy of a supermarket deli counter and the accompanying onion rings were straight out of the freezer section. The 'fresh' French onion soup was fresh out of the can mixed with some sliced onions thrown in for good measure, the 'cheese' never met Gruyere let alone would know how to spell it. The person who owns this restaurant has the audacity to call himself a chef. Whatever is he thinking? Drive straight to the border and head north towards Great Barrington. There you stand a chance of getting something decent. Meanwhile, pass the Tums.More
