There is multitude of this type of seafood restaurant along the Connecticut shoreline. This one is nothing special. The salad was small and expensive with the added shrimp. The shrimp was over done. My kids had a burger and hot dog which the both enjoyed. The view of Niantic bay was nice, but the overall experience is just average.

Service was quick, just before a rush. Fish sandwich was fresh, hot and very good & cole slaw, extensive menu, soups, dinners, burgers, chowder. Eat in or outside. Offered ice cream also.

Skippers is a family favorite for us. I always get the Fisherman's Platter. It consists of scallops, shrimp, white fish, clams, fries, coleslaw, and more. Always hot, fresh, and enough food to share with my 11 year old. My husband doesn't do seafood, and he swears by the fried chicken. My son prefers the bacon cheeseburger. All in all, nice... More

I wasn't expecting it to be like "fast food" because the prices were not fast food. It was just ok nothing memorable! Not some place we would go back.

My husband and I both had the fish sandwich and fries at Skippers. The lunch was delicious and the fish was very fresh and perfectly prepared. We ate outside and had an beautiful water view.

We had a taste for seafood and were getting hungry. We couldn't wait so we decided to pull over and stop at Skipper's. We were not disappointed. Normally we like our lobster roll cold with mayo. This time we decided to try it hot with a touch of butter. Awesome! If we had a bit of cayenne and some old... More

this place doesn't look much from the outside, but its a popular wee place. My wife and I nipped in for some dinner. My cheeseburger and chips (fries) were very good , but my wife's fish and curly fries were delicious , I know because she told me and I pinched some. Definitely worth a visit

Our fmaily went to Skippers this year while on vacation in Connecticut, and we found it to be the best restaurant we ate at. The fish and chips are filled with flaky fish and crust is crispy and not moist (the way we like them). We went on a Saturday night with 7 people but still got our orders in... More

We decided to try this restaurant out because it was #1 for the town. It didn't disappoint! All food was fresh and very tasty. We had clam fritters, sweet potato fries, clamstrip roll and onion rings. Sitting outside and watching the sunset was a bonus!

Thank manthalee
