We tried sushi a while back, and loved it. When i saw that there was a well-reviewed place a couple minutes from our house, I took my wife for her birthday. We started with miso soup, which I've had several times before, and it was...the best I've ever had, really tasty. Then we shared a dish for two that featured 5 rolls, and they made for a great meal. Pretty ordinary selections, spicy tuna, eel, rainbow, etc. But of course we're still dipping our toes, so to speak, so it was just what we wanted. Next time we'll get a little more adventurous. I should mention that our waitress was perfect. Friendly, competent, and mostly left us alone to enjoy ourselves. That's all we ask.More

Sushi California officially became our go-to sushi place recently after several really nice meals there. Staff is super friendly, and the space is comfortable. Love their special rolls, the edamame is prepared perfectly and the miso soup satisfies each time. Reasonable prices and there is...often a coupon if you do a little searching. Definitely try Sushi California for a great sushi experience.More

I come here far too often to admit. I have known Chef Oh and his team since he first opened the restaurant. His attention to detail, health concerns and magnificent displays for the sushi are one to take note of. I have Celiac and each...time I go in, they ensure that I am having "no crunch" in my spicy tuna and no eel sauce. When coming in with large groups, you can get a sushi boat which is absolutely stunning or a few rolls for yourself which come out with an array of sauces, and sometimes even in a display of a martini glass! The staff is super helpful, attentive and personable and the restaurant is clean. They're also super successful that they're expanding!! I suggest you go here and try it out! Say hello and get something out of the ordinary! I am always looking to expand my pallet each time I come in! Will be back again soon!More

I would have said it was good - but not very good - since there was no 'good' rating, I chose average. A better word would be 'consistent'

I love coming here because no matter if I am with friends or by myself, I am always made to feel welcome. Not to mention the food is always fresh and delicious and artfully presented. I could eat here everyday!

I have eaten here so many times for years and it honestly just keeps getting better. It doesn't matter if you dine in or get take out its amazing every time. I also love the fact that is byob, which is cool and most places...do not do that.More

Go to this restaurant every couple of months and find the food consistently good. They are also BYOB and make a nominal corking fee. Don't miss this hidden gem. Great and extensive menu including big assortments that can be shared by a couple or. a...group!More

I went here with a very close friend, we sat at the sushi bar, and it was excellent as usual. Japanese food tends to be expensive, and this is no different, but the quality is fantastic.

We love the food at this Sushi place, but was very disappointed at our last visit! We tried to get a table since my wife and I were craving Sushi and we were very hungry after a show. The couple that joined us were not...hungry, but we're ready to have some drinks while we were going to enjoy a good Sushi. To our surprise they told us that we can not get a table if the other couple is going to have only drinks!!! This is not good business practice , and it left a very bad taste in me!! We had to leave the place heart broken. I do not know if we will return to such a restaurant again. We were regulars that really enjoyed and recommended the place before. No longer can I recommend it again with this type of hospitality!!!More
