This was our choice to celebrate our 49th Anniversary. We have always enjoyed the ambiance of this intimate restaurant in an old house. We enjoyed the Bolognese and linguini and the shrimp scampi. The Bolognese is a longtime favorite, and the scampi was excellent, albeit more of a creamy sauce rather than the olive oil I have had elsewhere. We... More

My business colleagues and I have monthly meetings and then go out to a local restaurant somewhere in Litchfield County. After our May meeting we met at Joey's on Route 7 just south of New Milford. Joey's has been around for almost forty years with owner/chef Joey Esposito at the helm. The menu is not extensive, and I was surprised... More

The waitress is 1/2 the problem with this establishment and the food is the other. We ended sending our meals back because the seafood smelled rancid. we ended up getting a chicken dish which was ok. But now we are having chicken at a seafood rest. Unreal! To top it off, they would not honor a 6 month old gift... More

We have gone to Joeys for many years. It is still one of our favorites and we,again ,had a delicious dinner last Sunday. The salads are so good and the fish so fresh. Our friends had the shrimp on linguini and raved about it and we had the sole. Quiet, cozy atmosphere makes for a delightful dinner venue.

I've been going to joey's for over 10 years. The people are unfailingly kind, the food is always delicious and fresh. The seafood is superb, the pasta, the steak. Each entre comes with a wonderful salad. Joey himself cooks all the food, as did his father before him. The staff is friendly and professional, always welcoming. Children are treated kindly.... It is small and rustic. Our service was wonderful. Food was really good. My husband had the swordfish special. It was delicious! I had steamed lobster, very good also. Food prices were great and portions were good. Our only complaint was the bar prices. An "okay" bourbon was $13. That's pretty steep.

Zero ambiance. A wait staff that tries in earnest, but too, too many oversights/slip-ups in our party's requests. In that I was a guest, I would not dare insult our host, yet I knew with the appetizer that our dinner was doomed to be an abysmal failure, and indeed it was. the smoked salmon appetizer was served with a dollop... Great seafood and steak and the staff is terrific. Nice romantic atmosphere for couples. The price is very reasonable.

Joey's is open limited hours but so worth the wait. Any seafood I have had here has been super fresh. A bit on the pricey side but as the saying goes...you get what you pay for. Very comfortable atmosphere. The staff couldn't be more accommodating.

I have been to Joey's many times over the last ten years. It was always good with fresh seafood dishes and good service. About a year had passed in between our last visits and it was not at all what we had in the past. Went specifically for lobster, but at 6pm, they were already sold out of lobsters! Really?... More
