This is a wonderful place to stop for breakfast or lunch - excellent food and a nice interior to relax in or sit on the back deck and enjoy the sunshine and view! We went for lunch and enjoyed two of their excellent sandwiches. I recommend looking at their daily special chalkboard as they offer great specials! I had the... More

An inviting place with outdoor seating overlooking the Thames River in the summer- and warm comfy seating in the winter. Consistently good breakfast and lunch choices as well as scrumptious pastry to accompany great coffee- any way you prefer it. Friendly accommodating staff will ensure your happy experience at Muddy Waters.

Stopped in here during my trip to CT. Got an amazing breakfast here. Try the hot apple cider with caramel.

Stopped here mid day after tying up the boat at New London pier. The place was so packed we could not get a seat outside and we were very disappointed. Came back for breakfast before catching the Amtrak to DC. Got some great breakfast sandwiches, excellent coffee and noticed lots of locals -- business folk as well as younger set--... More

Had a little get away with the wife to CT. We come to the area several times a year. Found this gem while surfing the web and thought we would give it a try. Two words, "Love It"!! Breakfast sandwiches are great, coffee is awesome. Pastries and muffins are fantastic. Outside patio overlooks the water. Really great place and the... More

When the weather is good the back deck can't be beat. The inside seating offers couches and comfy chairs as well as tables up front. The coffee is good, the breakfast sandwiches are very good, and the pastries are excellent. The only negatives are the limited menu and hours.

Muddy Waters is a great place for a light breakfast and coffee. Love the eclectic atmosphere. Muffins, pastry, breakfast sandwiches. Lunch is also served.

Roomy, comfortable coffee house with movie posters from the 50's and 60's, this is a great spot to unwind after a long day of walking. It's walking distance to the Amtrak and Greyhound stations, as well, so is an ideal place to grab a coffee or doughnut before heading out to other places in the area.

A favorite lunch place when in New London. When the weather is nice we sit outside and he has a salad. Sometimes I do, but I had a veggie burger today and it was tasty and filling. Not a fancy place but consistently good at what they do well. I recommend it for a casual breakfast or lunch.

Enjoyed the coffee, but it's not the best in town. Staff is kinda rude, at least the 3 times I've been there they were, but it's a cool little place.
