The best lobster roll you ever want to eat! It comes in 2 sizes with large chunks of meat in every bite. Dining is outside. They also sell Guifford's ice cream for dessert. Excellent lunch!

We decided to finish our crab and lobster tour of New England at Captain Scott's. Note that everything here is ordered separately (meaning you pay for butter, fries, chips, etc.). At least they had all kinds of condiments that other places don't have. That includes old bay seasoning and even siracha sauce. They were generous with their tasty lobster. The... More

My wife and friends and I stopped at Captain Scott's for lunch on our way from New York to Boston. It is a really casual outdoor only restaurant on the waterfront. It was a beautiful afternoon so it was great sitting outdoors on picnic tables. We all had lobster rolls and French fries, 2 cold, 2 hot. Excellent

Trip Advisor and other sources rated Captain Scott's for the best Lobster Rolls along the Connecticut coastline, and we weren't disappointed. A beautiful afternoon led us through the harbor area of New London to Capt. Scott's where a line of folks queued up for a tray of goodness. We chose to split a large hot buttered lobster roll, with a... More

I took my Mom for lunch because she likes the place and we happened to be in the area for her Dr. appointment. This was my first time there. The clam fritters I ordered tasted more like spherical pancakes with barely a hint of clam flavor. I went back for a hot dog and if it weren't for the onions... More

First time at this shorefront shack. I heard good reviews so we wanted to try it. You sit out on picnic tables looking at the boats docked. No in door restaurant so if it rains they have a overhead shelter with tables. We all got seafood, the white chowder was nice and hot, a little watery and not thick like... More

We actually had much better clam strips and lobster rolls in other towns but this is a popular spot in New London so you should probably try it. There is no view and parking is tight but service is fast and friendly. Prices wer higher than we had experienced at other places in other nearby towns.

People rave about Capt. Scott's, but I'm not one of them. The food is good, but nothing special. The location is interesting, but the views aren't great. The food is typical shorefront shack food. Portions are O.K., but prices are premium. I go when others want to, but left to my own devices, there are much better places with better... More

We love clam rolls, if done well, and usually find them wanting south of Maine. But New London Connecticut's Captain Scott's clam rolls are fantastic, as are the lobster rolls and clam chowder. The setting on the dock in New London is great, sunny with a nice breeze. We discovered Capt. Scott's in July and just had to return for... More

Located right next to the Amtrak railroad in New London CT. Open from April to October. I go for the lobster roll but they have a wide selection of seafood. They also have hot dogs and hamburgers. Bring your own beer and wine and sit outside at tables and picnic tables. Not all are under cover. No inside seating is... More
