We went because it was close to the Garde Arts Center in New London, CT

This large airy space has a bar to the right, tables near the entrance and to the right. Beyond the tables, directly across from the door, was the wood-fired oven, tended by two chefs and surrounded by a table-height eating bar with a full view of the chefs at work. The menu is varied, but my wife... read more

Normally a great place for Pizza. Their selection and originality is great. Went with a small group of people and the service from a tall gentleman was very slow and did not come by very often. Had to go up to bar to get drinks once. Took forever to get pizza on a night that was not very busy. Brick... More

We have eaten here before and it was pretty good. This time we split a salad and it was very good, as was my beer. I ordered a clam pizza and my wife got a vegetable pizza. Both were over cooked, especially my clam pizza. I was so tough that that you could hardly cut it with a knife. I... More

So sorry about the pizzas on your last visit. Glad to hear you had a previously good experience. I hope you gave us a good review then. Even though we have award winning pizza even we get it wrong sometimes so I hope you'll give us the chance to make it up to you. Come in for 2 new pizzas... More

Had a perfect dinner before retiring to the stunningly mediocre Holiday Inn around the corner. Excellent food, friendly/helpful service, decent atmosphere. BUT, we were thinking of eating outside however the stench from the dumpster was a bit more than we could handle. It even infected our car which was parked adjacent to it. Really putrid. Not a great appetizer when... More

Very good restaurant, and definitely reasonable pricing on Wednesday's when you can get 2 salads for the price of one. Their salads and dressings are quite good! Also, their meatball appetizer is incredibly tasty. Service was fast and efficient. I would definitely return...I hear the pizza is really good too. I remember eating here with our cadet (US Coast Guard... More

I was there on a Tuesday a while ago and me and my girlfriend were seated by a waitress, short and skinny, very nice girl. She told us the specials and got our drinks and for us and set us up. We later overhead her ask the other waitress something and she was so mean and rude to her that... More

I'm very sorry about the experience you had when you last visited 2Wives. We pride ourselves in having a great staff that all work together as a team. However, we can all have bad days and I would hate to lose you as a customer over a one time bad moment on the part of one of our servers. We... More

Our group of 4 each ordered an 8 " pizza. They were all delightful (and 3 of the 4 diners hail from the New Haven area, where people are famously in-your-face about the quality of the iconic New Haven pizza joints). Wild mushroom, BBQ chicken and surf and turf versions all drew rave reviews. Though it was packed (Friday at... More

We were in the area on a business trip and only had a little time to stop to eat. Got a personal pizza each - mine was simple just mozzarella, mushrooms and peppers. It was beyond excellent as was the service - they got our food ready in record time. We both kept saying the same thing after practically every... More

MAYBE it was me, but I really did not care for this place. pizza was over-cooked, dry, and very little toppings. and it seemed to give me the impression it was supposed to be "upscale"? well, the snooty rich folks can have it, I'll stick with my neighborhood pizza joints anyday.

I'm so sorry you didn't enjoy your recent experience at 2wives. We have award winning pizza and most folks love our food but even we can have an off night. I hope you'll come back and give us another try. Amy More

This is the second time I came to this restaurant and both times the wait was too long, especially this time. The waitress was very nice but was forgetting half of the things that we asked for. She was nice enough to offer us drinks on the house due to long wait but we declined. Food itself (whn it finally... More
