Best Thai restaurant in the area. I go almost every week. The Pad Thai and the Massaman Curry are the best dishes I had—other meals I had were very good but not as outstanding as those two. Prices are very affordable. I recommend it 100%!

Very poor service, waitress are very rude, condescending, waitress treats customer like we owe them something, language barrier, when you work in an establishment, 1st rule is to treat customer as you would want to be treated. Another issue is the language, they don't understand...& speak English very well, which is frustratingMore
Not disappointed. Had fresh ginger dish with mushrooms and tofu. Positively delicious fresh grated ginger. Flavors are remarkable and not oily at all. Husband got drunken noodles and he devoured before I could get a photograph. We will be back!
New Haven, and the surrounding area, has a number of options for Thai food. But a growing favorite of mine, for take away or sit down, is Rice Pot. The food is consistently delicious and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant may not be in...downtown New Haven, but is worth the trip up State Street! I recommend the Hot Basil Fried Rice or the Panang Curry!More
First time at Rice Pot and completely satisfied. One of the best Thai meals I've had in a while and a great find in New Haven! The restaurant has an extensive menu with a great variety. My boyfriend recommended the beef noodle soup ($12.95) and...Duck Curry ($16.95) here and I was glad he did! Everything we had was amazing! The curry was packed with flavor and the duck was tender + juicy. It had just the right amount of kick to it without being overly spicy. The beef noodle soup was a bit sweet - a unique twist to the traditional broth. Overall, enjoyed everything we had and would love to try the other menu items. . Casual atmosphere and service is fast and efficient. We didn't have to wait on a Friday night. The staff was friendly, kind and extremely helpful! Portions were generous. Would definitely come back again next time I am in New Haven.More
We had not been there in a while. So we went on a spur of the moment. We had the spring rolls and shared two entrees. One was the pad thai and I cannot remember the other one, but it was spicy and offset the...sweet pad thai. Service was fine, my water glass was always filled.More
Consistent in quality. Great service.Quaint and cozy atmosphere. One of the best Thai in the general area.
Quality take out food in East rock section of new haven. I almost always go with the drunken noodles with shrimp or chicken. You can also get it with duck if you want. You can select your level of spice as well 1-5. Definitely recommend...doing take out or uber eats from here.More
I have heard horror stories about the service...but our experience was quite decent.Ordered the soft shell crab dish and a prawn dish. Was slightly pricey when compared to other thai places, but good portion size.It is in one corner of state st, so a bit...hard to get thereMore
Ok, I ordered Pad Thai, which I absolutely love and have had at many different restaurants in many different states. I started eating and it was actually pretty good, and then I saw it! I thought at first it was a piece of spice, so...I pulled out my glasses. Really, really wish I hadn't. It was a small cock roach. Choke choke. Honestly thought I was going to be sick. Lost my appetite and my son didn't want to finish his food. The waitress came over and asked how it was and we told her. She kept apologizing and went into the kitchen and you could hear her yelling. Not sure what she was saying because it was in a different language, but it didn't sound good. I did give them a second chance and ordered another dish, but really didn't eat much and was constantly checking everything I put on my fork. They did take the meal off the bill. So, if you choose to go here, proceed at your own caution. You've been warned.More
