My favorite new Haven style pizza! Whenever I'm away, I always come back home craving this this crust crispy deliciousness. And if you're lucky, they give you a tootsie pop as you leave

Been a fan for years. Great for take out or eat in. Don't expect a 20 minute pizza on weekends, expect a quality pizza, that's why if eating in, call ahead. Quality takes time and each pizza has the personal touch of the one and only second generation pizza chef.

There truly are no words for how much I adore/crave/dream about Ernie's pizza! Not initially from CT, it took me years to come around to the thin-crusted, brick oven-style New Haven is known for and this one leaves the Wooster Street institutions in their dust! Pat, the owner, is friendly as can be - as is all the staff -... More

I love good pizza. I have lived in the New Haven area for almost 60 years and get pizza at least a couple times a month.I have been going to Ernie's since they opened 45 years ago, along with others like Zuppardi's, Pepes, Modern, Roseland, Sally's, etc. The difference with Ernie's is the pie has not changed at all over... Best New Haven Pizza, love it better than Modern. It is more flavorful and consistent. Sausage pie is my favorite. Give them a try if you are in westville.

A cousin of mine has brought us here several times, and it's become a real 'go to' for us since moving to Woodbridge. Being from Brooklyn, NY, I'm a bit of a pizza snob, so we're happy to have found this little gem.

Ernie's is a classic. Been around forever - I've been going there for nearly 30 years. The pizza is always consistent and always delicious. Nostalgic place to take the kids for pizza - like traveling back to the late 70's early 80's.

Have been ordering pizza here for quite a while and NEVER disappointed ! A true hidden gem in Westville, please note if you think Papa Johns, Pizza Hut and Dominoe's is good pizza then your taste buds don't deserve ERNIE's !!! That is All

Ernie's pizza is consistently great. I went there when I was a teenager, and have returned over 40 years later. I can honestly say it hasn't changed! The mozzarella is a treat in its self, a hint of butter (?), the dough always cooked to perfection. Pat is a wonderful person, very friendly and welcoming. It's always a treat to... More

Having lived across the street for 7 years but not having tried Ernie's, I gave it a go. I ordered the Ernie's Special, which has only two toppings--mushrooms and sausage. When I opened the box, I knew I was in for real treat with all the blackened edges. Uhh, not so much. The sauce was ok, cheese ok but on... More
