OK, in my opinion, Sally's is the best pizza in New Haven. Only problem is that you better be prepared for ~ 2-3 hour wait for your food. Very limited seating and a small capacity oven. The service is not very good, almost as if they know their pizza is awesome and don't seem to care if you have to... More

Long wait to get in and long wait for the food.... but the cheese pizza was fantastic and worth the wait. Be prepared for at least 2 -3 hour between standing in line and finally getting the food in front of you.

Hands down the best of new haven pizza. The sauce is better than pepes and so is the crust if you really like that crispy and charred crust. The service is strange at times but worth it

If Pepe's is too crowded then stop in Sally's for the same great brick oven pizza. Never disappointed. Go hungry.

Real nice pizza, one of the best white pizzas I have ever had. Was worth waiting outside for an hour. But after we were inside, it took them another hour to prepare ours. Guys, go payavisit to your relatives in Italy, there is no place even in Sicilly that takes so long to serve a pizza. No wine, no real beers.

Excellent pizza. No frills. Time warp back to 1975. Middle aged waiters that have been there forever. Love the pizza will go back. Food much better than Pepe's down the road. Pizza freshly made and wonderful. Love the no cheese sausage with mixed peppers, and the pepperoni mozzarella . Lots of local history here too.

My wife and I have been stopping at Pepe's (either eat in or take out) on our travels from PA to New England for years. We have been aware of the rivalry between Pepe's and Sally's for most of that time, but have alway's found Sally's closed when we were passing through. Not so last night - they were open,... More

I have lived in the area for years and always wanted to go to Sally's. We recently drove by at 5:30 pm and saw no line so we hurriedly park the car and decided to give the pizza a try. We peered in and saw 3 empty booths, but were told wait outside. After a 15 minute, the waiter cleared... More

Not sure what has happened to this once great New Haven destination but this was the WORST dining experience i have EVER had!!! The line was too long at Frank Pepe's so we decided to hit Sally's. What a mistake ! Shorter line but still a wait but we expected that. We were finally seated and the waiter took forever-... More
