An excellent place to have traditional Spanish Tapas and wine. Great food, and very nice environment next to the Omni Hotel.

Second time here so I now feel that I can rate the place. We had 8 in our party and had no issues with reservations. We were served by several people but we had to flag someone down at least twice to get a first...More

Barcelona is our favorite "go to" restaurant. We can drop in anytime and eat at the bar if its crowded. The staff remembers you and caters to your every whim. Friendly and creative menu, the chef willingly chats with you and the ambiance is cool....More

We sat at the Bar to wait for a friend and when she came we decided to remain at the Bar , great prices on Wines , great bartenders and a good variety of cocktails. We order several Tapas and everything was very good ....More

Great ambience here. The only problem is that there are no vegan options on the menu. Every tapas on the menu has honey or aioli. A lot of people, like myself, have transitioned to a plant based and vegan lifestyle and still want good food...More

It is always busy and always fun. The bartenders are knowledgeable and friendly. Try the Sunday brunch tapas

Tapas were very enjoyable. The Hungarian ham was outstanding. The shrimp was good. Eggplant good. Potato tart excellent. Brussels sprouts excellent. The tapas were overall very good but not the most creative we have ever had.

Our family enjoyed a lovely meal with very flavorful tapas, many of them vegetarian. Service was friendly, but not always there when needed. We had to ask for more bread and olive oil for dippling. We had to request more water. Sure, it was Saturday...More

If you read my posts here, you may notice I do enjoy coming to Barcelona in New Haven. The food is excellent. However, every time we have come to this location--even when we have a reservation--we have to wait. Not just a few minutes, but...More

Really enjoyed our visit to Barcelona. Cocktails were fresh and tapas were delicious. Large variety, good service and affordable. Was a bit noisy. We would definitely go back. We had mussels, calamari, Brussels sprouts, olives, anchovies, eggplant, potato tortilla and octopus.

Not as far as I know. From what I saw, I would very much doubt that the kitchen is kosher. Call them and ask.

Barcelona New Haven opened in 2006 and is our largest restaurant in CT. Winner of the New Haven Advocate's "Best New Restaurant" and "Best Wine List," Barcelona is located next to the Omni Hotel in downtown New Haven just steps from Yale University. Here we have combined some of our favorite elements in a single location. A street level lounge overlooks a dining bar area with a stone fireplace. The sophisticated glass-and-steel dining room is framed by a 2000-bottle refrigerated wine cellar. The dramatic 80-seat private room is dominated by a larger than life, wall to wall, 30-foot mural of a Spanish bullfighter, and a 20-person chef's table, fashioned from a single walnut tree, borders the busy open kitchen.
