So many waiters and cheese everywhere. Warm atmosphere. I would come back here. Onion soup is better than in Paris.....

Knew nothing of this place, but a friend who works for a Certain University in New Haven took me to Caseus for an impromptu dinner on a weeknight in July 2016. We enjoyed delicious food, inventive preparations, and great service as we dined at the bar, happy though reservationless. The wine recommendations were spot on, and the staff was smart,... More

I hosted a client appreciation event recently at the New Haven Museum, which is across the street from Caseus. I was very pleased to see that Caseus was listed as a suggested caterer. I called and chose the "catering" option in the voicemail tree. The young woman who answered told me that the person who does the catering was not... More

We've visited Caseus several times and they never disappoint. Knowledgable servers, delicious food that is sophisticated yet simple, good atmosphere. Both lunch and dinner are excellent.

If you are looking for a fun, eclectic place to visit, this is your place! The mussels are amazing and they have a really great wine menu. The cheese boards and bread boards with a special butter each day are worth the trip itself! Make sure to visit the cheese shop...you won't be disappointed!!

Have been here before but it's been a while. Friends to I me for a going away dinner. Love love love!!!! The service is always impeccable and waiter so knowledgeable about not only intricate details of menu items but wines too. We got lucky to sit on the patio which was a bit noisy from last bit of rush hour... More

Duck prosciutto. I have eaten all over the world and have never seen duck prosciutto on a menu, yet here it is on the charcuterie platter in a small New Haven restaurant. And that's one of the things that's great about Caseus - next to duck prosciutto and smoked skate rillettes is French onion soup and mac and cheese. However... More

At first I was worried Caseus wouldn't appeal to me because while I like cheese, I'm not wild for it. Our party of 7 ordered all over the menu and I was surprised how varied & creative the dishes were. My husband said the French onion soup was the best he'd ever had, the grilled sausage appetizer was delicious and... More

If you like cheese, you have to try Caseus. The restaurant is very good and features many of their cheese varieties. I especially like doing lunch here (or at their food truck in and around New Haven). The store is terrific and they have done some truly incredible cheese and meat trays for me for parties. Excellent stuff!
