Capitol Lunch is a must when you come to New Britain. The hot dogs they use are the best in the state and their "Cappie Sauce" is not to be missed. Add some mustard and chopped onion to the soft buns that they use and you have a hot dog that you'll keep coming back to New Britain to eat.

I am 72 years young and I have been eating dogs at Cappie's since I was 5 or 6 years old. I have lived in the Keys for almost 30 years and return to New Britain several times per year. My first and last stop when coming and going is Cappie's for three no onions, onion rings, and a Coke.... More

What can i say, being a New Britain native I'm biased towards this place but the hot dogs they have can be enjoyed by anyone. Soft bun, a snap from the dog on every bite and the flavors from the sauce, mustard and onions. I visit the area twice a year and these are the only hotdogs I eat through... More

A must go place for lunch if you are in the downtown area and are craving a hot dog or burger. Is only cash but still worth keeping a couple bucks in your pocket for iy

Capi dogs are a New Britain tradition. Great service and they now sell their hot dog sauce. Very savory.

I visit this local eatery for its hot dogs with their special sauce. I have no idea how they make the sauce other than that it appears to be beef-based and is tasty. Regardless, they also serve hamburgers with the appropriate fixings. You order at the counter and the seating could best be called "basic cafeteria" style. Fries were good.... More

I've loved this place since I was younger, the hot dogs are nice and crisp, great flavor. Hot dog and onion rings give me life when I'm craving hot dogs.

I headed to Capital lunch today for the first time in about 30 years the hot dogs with sauce mustard and onions were exactly as I had remembered them in the mid-eighties, a very tasty lunch for a reasonable amount of money. If I was in the area more often I would definitely eat here again. I don't know what's... More

The Hot Dogs were great, now they are just good, the only constant is that they use Martin Rosol Hot Dogs made here in New Britain. The Best Beef Dog anywhere!! Sometimes the sauce is Great other times just good. Still by far the Best Hot Dog in Connecticut!!!
