Great pizza 🍕 perfect crust tasty sauce and great customer service from B Mac

This place is really good , for the most part 99% consistent so that is pretty great The pizza 🍕 is really really good ( the only bad thing I would say is the temp is not as hot as I get everywhere else ) and I am there to pick it up waiting always have to put it in oven when I get home. For other things wings awesome not scrawny little wings like some places give you, these are normal sized wings, salads are great good portions and the dressings are really good! If you pay by credit card YOU are paying the fee that the business usually pays ,so beware ! And delivery takes awhile and I believe you have to spend $20.00 But the food is really really good , and if you are luck enough to get served by B Mac Well you have the whole pkg this guy is awesome!!! Every business owners dream employee, pleasant, helpful GREAT personality quick, makes suggestions , thanks you asks you to come back Just cannot say enough about this gentleman except that if I had a business I would be offering a really nice incentive to steal him, so hopefully people you appreciate this guy before that happens

Amazing Pizza

I love love love pizza! When we stopped in here, I wasn't so sure. However, the pizza is amazing!! The flavors are there, it's not outrageously priced, and it's just plain good! If you are fortunate enough to have Gage as your server, you will not want for anything. He is extremely attentive and seems to help where ever help is needed at this establishment. He was serving beer, pizza, ice cream and even, at one point, cleaning tables and floors. Thoroughly impressed with the food and the service!!!!

Great for quick ice cream

My wife and I come here maybe once a month but mainly for ice cream on a hot day. Toasted coconut is always a homerun. The food itself is pretty good but can be a bit in the greasy side. The pizzas are massive (large is like super extra large) and I've always enjoyed them.

Great service, clean place, and great food

This place looks small but don’t let that stop you. The customer service is always great they go above and beyond. We enjoy sitting in the restaurant and having dinner. They have several beers and wines to choose from. I will be returning.

Waited, waited and waited some more

My wife and I were looking for a place for lunch and spotted a sign for this restaurant that indicated slices of pizza were available. The small parking lot was full which I took as a positive sign so I parked on the street in a residential area. I put my order in and waited, waited and waited some more. I expected the pizza to have already been prepared and just needed to be reheated in the oven. Nope, it was made from scratch as I waited, waited and waited some more. The pizza itself was terrible, the topping was greasy and on the verge of being burnt. The tomato sauce had to come out of can because it was blah. The last straw was the "service" charge for using a credit card.

What a disaster!

This place is a wreck! The service was awful. The food was worse. I should have followed my first instinct when I walked into this mess of a place they call a restaurant. But we didn't have much time as we were going to see a play do we thought we'd grab a quick bite at some place close. BIG MISTAKE! Service was bad, the pizza was flavorless. But worst of all, after my first slice I decided I needed to at least block my hunger pains. I cut into the second slice and out comes a hair as long as Rapunzel's. I was mortified. I brought it to the attention of the wait staff and they graciously apologized and offered to make a fresh one. I refused and asked for the bill. They had the nerve to not take the pizza off the bill. I then asked the question and they kindly apologized and removed it from my bill. Attention Max's Pizza: invest in hair nets and clean up the joint. Avoid this place at all cost.

We were going to get pizza ,and usually go to get it at the regular place because ,I don' t know about anyone else but ...what a drag when you order pizza and it is horrible!!! Anyways glad I tried it was awesome and not only was it great there was a mistake and I ended up with a LARGE instead of a medium , I was in shock, what to do with all this pizza ( luckily I live in a condo), everyone got pizza and was told where it came from and how nice it was of them to give me the large pizza!! I am sure people from the condo will be going there as well both because of the food and just because that was so sweet! And I was so shocked didn' t even know if I said thanks so I had to call and thank him just to make sure. Think about it guys they could have just sold it as slices or left it for the staff, not like it was some weird concoction!!! Thanks again and awesome pizza great sauce !! Db

Awesome wings

Went with my sister to gets quick meal and decided to try the wings, God I did try were awesome with the exception that they weren't as hot as I would like them but they had a nice flavor. Have to say I was pretty impressed for a place that used to be the "old mays market " slim on atmosphere but good food

Great family dinner spot

Decent portions and for the most part standard pizza fare. Wasn't a big fan of loading the plate with chips but that's the smallest subjunctive thing of mine. Would love to see IPA added to the beer menu but on tap not bottled. Place was clean and staff attentive and friendly. Egg plant grinder was on the money.

My office is close to this restaurant as well as many others. Max is our first choice every time. Great Margherita and veggie pizzas. Husband loves the Pepperoni. Offers pick up or delivery. Absolutely the best pies in New Britain.

Ice cream!

Full disclosure:it's within walking distance for us. We love going to get their ice cream. They always have good flavors. The entrées are tasty, pizza ok, subs really good, but sometimes if take out, soggy. Owner is awesome and most of the ladies that work there are great, and great with kids, extra bonus. :)

Worth the ride!

I have to preface this by saying I grew up on pizza from Max in Bristol (the original), and may have been a little hesitant to try Max II. That being said, the food was just as good, the restaurant cleaner than Max I and the staff WAY friendlier. Definitely a place to go with the family- with a "jukebox" and a board full of ice cream flavors- and good food.

Fresh handmade pizza!

My boyfriend and I ordered a medium(16 slices) pizza with green peppers all over and half pepperoni it came to $14.50. The pizza was so fresh that when you pulled a slice there would be long strands of fresh cheese stretched over to your plate. The green peppers were very fresh and crunched so they were not over cooked. The sauce is delicious it's not sweet. Their homemade creamy Italian dressing $0.50 extra is worth it for dipping the crust in there is nothing like it. We came from Bristol just to have some of this yummy pizza. Don't let the small place fool you it's full of great flavors and taste. It's a great place for families with kids too. We went on a Saturday around 1:30 and it wasn't packed so it was nice and relaxing. Our server was very pleasant and polite! I can't wait to go again.
