This restaurant is well known for its great food and service. Stuffed cabbage, kielbasa, crispy potato pancakes, beet soup and much, much more...All get an A plus. Dine inside or out. We had a pleasant experience.

This is one of the the best places for polish food in CT. Whenever I am in the mood for perogies I head here and I am never disappointed. They have several different types from the traditional cheese and potato to meat perogies and different sauerkraut perogies. They also have excellent sides, the carrot salad is one of my favorites.... More

During the polish festival i came with a quater full of beer..not to mention during polish festival everyone was allowed to dink outside on the street. I thought the whole idea was to bring business to little poland so that the polish businesses could thrive....i guess that is not the case with staropolska which i frequented often...as i came with... We went to Starapolska on the advice of a driver we use to JFK. He was absolutely correct in telling us to go here for authentic Polish food. We went to the restaurant after going to the New Britain Museum of Art. We ate kielbasa, pierogis, stuffed cabbage and potato pancakes. We shared because the food is HEAVY. It was... More

I brought a friend here to experience Polish food. I have been here many times before and always had great food and service. Well the service was not so great this time around, We ate and were given the bill before we finished eating. I paid and we kept talking since they were not overly busy. First the waitress asks... Not my choice but my granddaughter wanted to go here for lunch. We had blitzes and perogies. My problem with these choices were they we much too crispy and hard. I am used to softer dough. The portions were large and t.he place was packed at 2:30 PM on a Saturday afternoon.

After our visit to New Britain, we wanted a sit down meal. One of our group had the pierogi dish. He apologized to Mom because he liked these pierogies better than hers. They were not "doughy" and you could actually taste the potato inside. The portion was more than enough. Mom and I shared the Polish Platter. Wow! It was... More

After hearing how great the Polish Food in New Britian is, we decided to visit and taste for ourselves. We chose Staropolska based on the reviews here. Sadly, our experience does not line up with the reviews here. The service & ambiance were fine, no problems at all, the biggest issues we found were with the food (quality & taste)... More
