I am writing this review as I sit inside this icecream parlour. My child has a severe nut allergy (epi pen child). We asked for a new scoop and if they could get it from a new container. The server seemed new or confused and...his colleague intervened and told us that all the icecream can be contaminated as it is made in the same area and they can use a clean scoop but even the scoop is not guaranteed as it will just be a rinse. They have lots of new icecream pots in the back but they were not willing to accommodate a child with an allergy. At this point three servers all came to the counter to group up. It was weird and uncalled for. Defensive. My husband and I looked at each other and said forget it. We left the scoop the confused server had made us (and also had spoken over and breathed into). We paid for our other sons icecream and as I sat with my other child who was quiet and upset, my husband paid for one childs icecream and came over to tell us that the manager came from the back of the store to tell us that she would get us a new scoop from a new tub. My kid was uplifted and he had his icecream. Thank goodness for a decent and kind manager. It was a simple thing to do to ensure a child didn't experience anaphylactic shock. The servers couldn't give a rats backside about the customers. They appear miserable and sour to serve. It's an awful front face for an ice cream spot. We felt extremely unwelcomed. Also...if you have a nut allergy, please be careful. You may see small broken peanut pieces on the counter where you order with other toppings. This is NOT an allergy friendly spot. I think we just lucked out with a nice manager. I won't visit again and will not recommend to my CT, MA or NY friends and family.More

Best Ice Cream Ever!

Visiting from Indiana and wow I wish we had one at home. This was the best ice cream I have ever had!! We tried the cherry amaretto and it was amazing. I wish it would make the journey home so I could share it with...friends and family. I got a latte too and it was yummy but the ice cream is the real star here. We plan to go back again today to try something else before heading home! Staff was very friendly as well and we thought it was reasonably priced.More

Mmmmm great!

Wow! It may seem pricey when first looking at the menu, but it’s definitely worth it! My partner had a malt shake and said it was fantastic and I had a sundae that was one of the best ever! Very generous servings of everything with...CREAMY & smooth ice cream! Can’t wait to go back.More

Good ice cream. Small portions

This place is a rip off. Granted their ice cream is delicious but their scoops a tiny. A two scoop cup at $6.25 is the size of a Kiddie cup at most ice cream establishments. A

Adorable shop

Outstanding

Absolutely outstanding ice cream. They make it right- less air more flavor. Some of the best ever. Even the vanilla is noticeably more rich and flavorful than anything else you’ll find. A destination Ice cream place

VEGAN GOLD!!!!

The VEGAN ice cream! The absolute best I’ve ever had. It was chocolatey, creamy, loaded with almonds, coconut, did I mention creamy? The only thing wrong with it? I got a KIDDIE CUP!!! Are you kidding me??? Amazing… please make this mail-order!

LOVED it

If Mystic Pizza is a slice of heaven, this ice cream is a bowl of heaven! Seriously so good. Go - you won’t regret it. (I got the Mystic Mud - better than Ben & Jerry’s Half Baked.)

Great location, great ice cream

The name of this ice cream shop doesn't lie--it's practically on the drawbridge in downtown Mystic. The location is great, but it wouldn't be worth much if the ice cream didn't deliver. Many delicious flavors to choose from... so choose more than one!

Always busy!

Love this place. How many options can you think of for ice cream? They have them all. I went back a couple of nights in a row for some of the best soft serve I've ever had!

Best Ice cream

Why would you wait an hour for ice cream? Because it was the best ice cream ever!!! Loved it. Honestly had to wait forever, but everyone in line was nice, and I think excited to get ice cream!!!

Lives up to the hype

Wow! That is rich and creamy ice cream. I’m a Vanilla fanatic and the Vanilla dished (coned) out here is as good as it gets. The remaining 5 members of my family were also totally impressed with their various flavors of yummy ice cream. The...kids licked out every last drop from their cones and cups. My single scoop cone was more like a scoop and a half and I didn’t lunch after consuming my treat. They are a bit expensive but, as the old adage goes, “you get what you pay for.”More

Great ice cream in a neat little shop!

We had ice cream after lunch; I had the strawberry, my friend had the vanilla cookie (if I remember correctly). The ice cream was delicious and the employees were awesome.
