My husband and I took a very last minute trip to Mystic, and couldn't be happier to find S&P Oyster. Our dining experience was fantastic from beginning to end. We were very happy to see that this restaurant is taking COVID precautions very seriously. Our...temperature was checked when we came in and all tables are sufficiently distanced apart. We were seated in the upstairs dining room by the lovely floor to ceiling windows with a beautiful water view. We ordered a delicious oyster appetizer, scallops and a fantastic shrimp scampi risotto. The waiter and bartender were very attentive and did a great job making sure we had everything we needed. They have a lovely wine list and a full bar too. I cannot find a single complaint about this special restaurant. Everything from the hostess, the waitstaff, food, atmosphere were spectacular. Wish we were staying in the area a bit longer so we could have had another wonderful dining experience at S&P. We will make sure this is our first stop for dinner the next time we are visiting Mystic.More

We made reservations for Valentine’s Day and I am so glad we did! First of all the restaurant is beautiful with wonderful waterfront views. You have the option to dine inside or outside, we chose to dine inside with a beautiful view of the water....The service was exceptional from start to finish. They were helpful with the price fixe menu and were on top of every question and request we had. For starters we had an excellent bottle of red wine-Rioja. For appetizers my girlfriend had the calamari and I had the ceviche. Both appetizers were fresh and delicious. So flavorful! For our second course my girlfriend had the salad and I had the most wonderful cup of lobster bisque. Normally I prefer my bisque on the thicker side but this one was very tasty and left me wanting more. For our entrees we had the salmon and the French cut pork chop, I asked them for veggies instead of the yuca and they were really good. The salmon was cooked perfectly and my pork chop was cooked to the perfect temperature (medium) and was so delicious. We definitely plan on coming back when in the area and hopefully dining at the patio. The menu looks to be packed with so many other great options.More

Food, service, atmosphere are all very good. My husband and I went on Valentine's night where the menu was fixed. Appetizers of oyster toquitos and tuna very fresh and delicious. Second course of lobster bisque and caesar salad tasty. Pork chop and surf and turf...although small was expertly prepared and quite good. Now the but. We understand on Valentine's night many places must limit the menu and, given this Covid environment, we understand paying a little more. In fact it is our responsibility to support the locals. However, $9.50 for a domestic beer, $14.00 for house wine, and $19.50 for a glass of a mass produced bourbon Maker's Mark is excessive and quite frankly wrong. We understand making up lost revenue, but the drink costs took away from an otherwise fine evening. That said, S&P is worth a visit, just be forewarned.More

The restaurant has great views of the Mystic River. We had a window seat on the 2nd floor of the restaurant. The tables were nicely spaced out. Overall, the food was excellent for our entire family. A nice place especially for occasions.More

My wife and I are in total lock-down during the COVID-19 risk environment; nevertheless, we wanted to celebrate our 52 anniversary with a delicious restaurant dinner. S&P Oyster, Mystic, Connecticut provided the perfect solution - convenient, efficient curb-side take-out. The full menu is available -...I selected Cast Iron Seared Faroe Island Salmon ($28) with Parsley Gremolata, Butternut Squash, Kale, Quinoa Farrotto; my wife opted for Filet Mignon (5oz) ($28) with Ancho Coffee Rub, Steak Sauce, Pecorino, Romano Fries, Haricot Verts. We included an appetizer - Focaccia Bread ($1.50). Both meals were PREPARED TO PERFECTION. To place my order, I called S&P Oyster Restaurant 30 minutes ahead of desired pickup time. The receptionist, Abby, took the order and answered my call from the parking lot. She brought the meals, neatly packed in plastic containers, directly to the car. Everything arrived home hot and ready to enjoy. A safe way to have a delicious meal in the safety of your own home. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to eventually returning to dining at S&P Restaurant and their wonderful view of the Mystic River. Wholeheartedly recommended.More

When the restaurant is this good, the review should be straightforward: what a great place! The view is amazing only surpassed by the flavour and quality of the food. We had the calamari, lobster cakes, oysters, clam chowder, surf n turf, tuna.... even the kids...fish and chips were good! The staff is very friendly and the chef is an Ecuadorean Star! Highly recommended.More

Stopped in for a late lunch. Well spaced seating for COVID and every table has a nice waterview. It was not that crowded which is why I did not understand why service was Soooo slow. Menu was limited and I thought very pricey. For ordering...only appetizers and a couple of drinks, paying over $100 with tip was pricey. The cost of the green salad was a bit much for a very basic, and what amounted to be the size of a side salad. The seafood potato skins were good but not great and again way overpriced. The side of focaccia bread was very hard, not warmed. The only really good item was the seafood crepe. Wine was also pricey. There are better places in the Mystic area with finer food and better prices.More
