We visited with some friends. Although it's a little pricey it comes with a great view of the Mystic river and the tuna was very good. Also, we started with a couple dozen oysters which was great!

Very nice venue. We had a good table overlooking the river. Food was very good and service was above average.

Hubby order potato skins and lobster roll. I ordered the salad with arugula, grapes, goat cheese and pan seared scallops. Well prepared, pleasant, great view of the river from the upstairs dining room. Nice upscale lunch for a couple- only experience.

Not a 4-1/2 place. Lobster bisque without the lobster? Too noisy. Atmosphere and views very good but you can't eat those. Food was nice not great.

Sat outside on a fair evening. The flame warmers were just right. Service was very good. We weren't starving so the only app we got was the wedge salad-very good. The seafood paella and branding specials were hits. Also highly recommend the shrimp risotto. Very...More

We had one of the best meals of our trip at S&P - the monkfish stuffed with lobster and wrapped with bacon. Our server was lovely and truly interested in our travels. We stayed for afternoon wine and came back for dinner.

The oysters were good. The chowder was decent but needed a little more seasoning. Our other food was also good but just not anything to write home about. The wait staff did a good job and were all very polite.

You will be pleased with the wait staff. You might ask for the best reservation time for River view.

Please call the restaurant on our main line, 860-536-2674 to get on our priority seating list. Making a priority seating is the best way to avoid having to wait for a table should we happen to be busy. Thank you

Thank you for the question. We are a very romantic restaurant for both lunch and dinner. Please look at our Facebook page for more visuals and a sneak peek of our Valentine's Day pre-fixe menu.
