We did not have any oysters, mussels, or clams, although they appeared to be very popular with others. We both had soup. The servings were large. My wife selected the Cream of Hakurei turnip soup and found it exceptional, both in color and flavors - smoked sour cream. The (New England) Quahog chowder with bacon was less successful. There was... More

You won't find a more innovative, farm/sea to table restaurant on the CT shoreline. The menu changes daily, to provide the best and freshest ingredients possible. The service is wonderful!

We recently had both brunch and dinner here and were very happy with both of our meals. The food is farm to table and as such the menu frequently changes to use the freshest ingredients. For brunch we had the frittata with fresh vegetables and feta and breakfast sandwich; for dinner we had the steak and cod. Everything was delicious.... More

We only stopped by for a drink at The Treehouse with is the deck bar connected to the Oyster Club Restaurant. The view of Mystic Harbor and the service were great, but the drinks were nothing to write home about. I'm not much of a drinker anyway, but I've had better elsewhere.

Our third visit over a three year period, and the experience only gets better. Four of us dined on a Monday evening, and everything was excellent. No surprise, by now. All the dishes were thoughtful. Nothing was overwrought, overly salty, or overly fatty. Clean delicious cooking with fresh ingredients; and the oysters are the best available for miles around, if... More

Roof-top terrace of Oyster Club called the Treehouse. The name caught our attention. No reservation. Late lunch, a 5-minute wait to be seated. One con: the noise from the overhead building fan unit. Cozy, nice treehouse feel. Not accessible other than by stairs. First time tasting of local Lobster Roll — delicious and pricey. The hushpuppies and cornbread were yummy.... More

We ate up in the treehouse portion of the restaurant. It was very foggy out, so maybe you would normally have a better view, but from where we were seated it was mostly parking lot. That being said, my husband and I both had the lobster roll and it was fantastic.

First of all, our first mistake was not making a reservation. I called several and was told they didn't take them so we thought we would just maybe have some luck. So this is where we ended up. We called and they said if we could be there in 5 minutes which we did, and even asked if they had... More

Dear Susan, On behalf of our entire team at Treehouse and Oyster Club, please accept our sincere apologies for what sounds like a miserable experience. Please extend these apologies to the rest of your group as well. I'd also like to say thank you for taking the time to let us know about your experience. While we certainly don't like... More

This was a clean fresh meal that had deep, coaxed flavors. The place was farm to table with the added twist of wild and farmed shellfish. Gluten free friendly, yes - but I have never seen gluten free DEFT. We had the red shrimp and fresh stewed tomatoes, mako with Beet purée, and Striped Bass with cucumber, ginger and a... More

My husband and ate dinner here with another couple who knows the area. The Treehouse part of the restaurant had been recommended by their son. We had to wait while they set up a table even though there were other empty tables. We sat down and my chair was very near a step which I didn't like. Then the waitress... More
