This was by far the best breakfast I have had in a long time. The staff was great also. They were able to accommodate my special dietary needs.

Server definitely set the mood with his arrogant attitude. two people ordered appetizers. he brought them to the table on one dish and told them to "share" what? The pork chop was undercooked and tough and oversized.

Service was good. Music too loud. My dinner (chicken) was almost inedible (see photo). Presentation was nauseating! The portion size for the two gentlemen’s dinner was much too small. Asked for bread to accompany our meal and we were charged $5.00!

Located in Whalers Inn it is a marvelous surprise. Every dish we ordered was prepared fresh and was delicious. The service was as good as can be expected due to covid. The ambience feels a little crowded but vevertheless we enjoyed our visit

This was the second biggest highlight of our trip to Mystic (after getting engaged haha!). We had dinner to celebrate and the restaurant is absolutely beautiful inside. My fiancé made the reservation and they honored it just as he had asked “because it was a...special occasion”, as we were seated promptly and right next to the window in the front, which was very nice. Everything (food, drinks, service, decor) was perfect. We had mussels, the lobster roll and the deviled eggs off of the “snack” menu. Perfect portion sizes and it was the best deviled egg that I’ve ever had. I had the gnocchi and he had the steak, our mixed drinks were delicious (I had the blueberry/kombucha/tequila and it was really, really good). Service was very attentive, very nice and accommodating the entire time. I was so excited the entire time. I’m very hard to impress when it comes to seafood (my family is in the business) and usually avoid ordering it to avoid being disappointed. I was far from disappointed and will surely return when in the area. Highly recommend. But honestly, I’ll probably think about that deviled egg for the rest of my life. 5/5.More

OMG- what an amazing dining experience! From the moment we entered and were greeted by Lars, the most welcoming Maitre D to the minute we left, the Shipwright’s Daughter was a highlight of our getaway. Katherine, our server was friendly, warm and helpful as well....She went above and beyond! THE FOOD WAS INCREDIBLE! First we shared the Blistered Shishitos With a delicious sauce and Maitake Mushroom apps and a French Sauvignon- yum. Our mains were a Spaghetti served with pork and tomatoes that was very tasty and my Duck confit special with a Honey glaze and Duck Fried Rice- one of the best dishes EVER! The Rhubarb dessert that was light and delicious was the perfect ending with cappuccinos! JUST GO THERE!!!More

After such an incredible dining and service experience this may be new favorite restaurant in Mystic. I was looking for brunch options in the Mystic area, and I remembered hearing about this restaurant so I gave it a try. As soon as my dining companions...and I arrived we were quickly shown to our table. Our server soon came over, and went over the menu in careful detail. In a matter of minutes our brunch cocktails arrived and another 15 minutes went by before our dishes started to arrive. Each dish had such great presentation and tasted just as good as it looked. I will definitely be back soon!More

All the staff was either openly rude, indifferent or knew nothing (new hire brought food to table and couldn't even tell us what a particular dish was.) Waiter wouldn't let us order the main course, kept pushing drinks and apps- when we begged him to...order, we found out their main dish was out of stock and he acted like he told us that when we first walked in the door. We ended up leaving without getting the main course and he lost out in a lot higher tip and the restaurant lost a lot of money, cuz their stuff is expensive. It's effectively bougie tapas. Not worth it at all! Would give 0 stars if possible.More

This was our first visit since the restaurant opened. We had reservations and were seated immediately. Service was efficient and not rushed. In looking at the beverage menu, we thought that for an expensive restaurant like this, the choice of wines by the glass was...limited (and expensive). Bottled wines offered more choice (but still expensive). The cocktail menu was weird although our server noted that we could order any traditional cocktail we wanted. The oysters were spectacular - from Fisher's Island. We had the duck and the swordfish - both outstanding. Finally, we finished with a glass (large) of Larresingle Armagnac . . We will be back!More

Wonderful! Creative chef with delightful gluten free accommodations. Fun and lively vibe with warm and efficient service. Camille took care of us and was especially attentive to our son. Steak was good and the pomme frites reinvented were out of this world, reminiscent of puff...pastry. The stuff a celiac’s dreams are made of. Raw oysters were delicious! Lobster roll appetizer was amazing, according to my husband. Son devoured his fettuccine carbonara with lardons. Absolutely get the strawberry rhubarb pavlova. Perfect way to end a fabulous meal and experience. I should have gone again but no time. Highly recommended.More
