Went down to the Harp and Hound the other night, hadn't been there for a while. It was a Friday night in the middle of tourist season, but we got in about 8 PM with no waiting. Friendly and efficient staff. Had some beer and fish and chips. Entertainment started at 9 - by then a lot more people had... More

Dimly lit, all wood. It's the kind of bar you'd expect to find in a seaport town. Irish brogued bartender completed the experience. Good for a few..

I live locally, this is arguably the best bar in the area, certainly the best Irish Pub, and just that...an Irish Pub. Don't expect 5 star cuisine or linen table cloths, but authentic comfort food, friendly service, colorful locals and great live music. I frequent this spot often and for good reason, it's very well managed.

We were in Mystic and doing a little pub crawl around town. Stumbled across the Harp and Hound. The bar was full and the TV's all had a soccer match on which all the patrons seemed to interested in. We had a couple draft beers, but didn't eat anything. Nice atmosphere. Would stop by again when in the area.

With a sign on the building claiming it to be the quarters of one Gilbert Morgan, mechanic in 1868, the yellow two-story clapboard building has a humble, relatively nondescript facade. But once inside the tavern, with its stone fireplace, well-worn wooden floors, and seating arrangements imported directly from Ireland, the Harp and Hound Pub has a warm, welcoming atmosphere. When... More

Our first night in Mystic, after a day visiting Mystic Seaport, we stopped in The Harp and Hound for a light dinner. Great service, friendly waitress and bartender! We ordered the Shepard's Pie, which was very delicious! Decent draft selections, comfortable, friendly atmosphere.
