This petite little place blends right in on Main Street in Middletown, so you really have to keep an eye out to be lucky enough to find it. We happened to be walking by when the aromas wafting through the door wacked us upside the head, beckoning us in.
It is really hard to decide which is more impressive, the taste, the smell, or the appearance. We were greeted warmly by the owner and head chocolatier as we walked in— not only was he one of the nicest people, he treated us to a behind the counter tour of his creative area when my daughter’s rapidfire questions about his art touched him. In addition, he took us on a “tour” of all the different varieties available for purchase. It was really hard to narrow down our choices but with great pleasure we were able to find about $50 worth that we had to have.
Love to see local businesses rise to the top! And the best is exactly what this venue indulges in – – mouth watering chocolates that speak to any woman’s heart. My only sadness is that he is about 30 minutes away from us, far too great a distance in my opinion

During a recent stay in Middletown (Inn at Middletown, just down the street) We stopped in to pick up some chocolates around 9:30 on a Saturday night. The owner was in the middle of making some truffles and he insisted on giving us a quick lesson in candy making! We loved the experience and the bag of chocolates we left with.

So we were traveling and needed a bathroom break. We ended up Middleton. So while we were there we decided we needed chocolate. What a cool place! Where can you go anymore where the owner will let you see what he does, tell you about the whole town, and let you video tape the experience? Let me tell you, there’s nothing like this where I’m from in San Diego! Stop in and eat chocolate! Take it home with you, or just check the place out.
I said to my friends, it is absolutely amazing to see someone who LOVES his job as much as he does. Please don’t change! Thanks for the great experience in Middleton!

Every time we're in the area, we stop by Tschudin's to say hi. The chocolatier always invites us to see the chocolates he's making that day. The other day, he showed us how he is making Easter Bunnies. He's shown us the chocolate machines that continuously circulate to prevent the chocolate from hardening prematurely.
The flavors of chocolate are very unique. I enjoyed the Nights in Tunisia as well as the Garam Masala chocolates. The frozen mousse-sicles are amazing!

These are special chocolates made by a friendly, kind chef whose love of his work is palatable!
Favorite flavor: the Tunisian nights winner
Runner up: Early Gray
Not my favorite: the peanut butter could be a little less sweet

Rob answered all our questions and explained the ingredients in every unique chocolate in the case. We bought 12 very interesting varieties and enjoyed them all. Such craftsmanship and thought goes into each one.

Lots of good chocolate options. Many are named and inspired by local restaurants. The owner is a quirky and jovial guy.

Was excited to pick out a couple of treats... the gentleman behind counter was very nice but chocolates for me were just ok, especially for the cost. Wanted to love it. Unfortunately to say my first visit will also be my last.

Thank you for your kind words and so sorry you were disappointed. To the best of our knowledge our prices are the lowest in the state for the quality of chocolate that we use for our hand-made confections and a good dollar per chocolate cheaper than in any major metro area. We still appreciate that you gave us a try, and invite you to spend a few hours with us when we are in production so you can see for yourself how much time and effort goes into making our products. If you opted to get receive an email or text receipt, there is a feedback form you can use to give us more details on the flavors you chose, and what you would like to see improved. We are always ready to listen. Thanks again.

We stopped to look in the store and had an amazing time. Rob the owner is so friendly and made us feel so welcome. Britany was great had showing us all ahe does. We got to watch how they make chocolates. We had a great time getting to know them. We actually stopped back after going to lunch and made our purchases. Highly recommend stopping in you wont be disappointed. If we get back to Middletown we will definitely stop by again.

The first positive is the friendly lady owner/chocolatier who is happy to explain and describe every item in the display case to you so that you may choose the precise confections to enjoy. Some of the goodies had innovative and/or unexpected flavors such as Earl Grey tea and garam masala, neither of which sounded to me like they would taste good paired with chocolate, but they sure did! We appreciate the fine art of old-fashioned chocolate making, which is exactly what's going on at Tschudin. It was a wonderful surprise to find this place and look forward to returning. We were just walking by (on our wedding anniversary, no less) and stopped in on a whim after having lunch on Main Street. Thank goodness we did! Do not feel taken aback by the prices; they appear at first to be high, but they are not once you taste the chocolate, recognize the significant work and innovation required for each piece, and then you realize they are well worth every cent. Thank you - superior job - keep up the great work and see you the next time I'm in the area for sure!

Really _good_ chocolate is pricey- but well worth it for a special treat. The quality of ingredients & hand crafted expertise makes these chocolates truly special. The shop is small,& easy to miss, but worth looking out for. Many accolades from both local as well as national magazines The chef was even on a Food Network Show & won!

This is some of the best chocolate I have had and there is huge variety here. It seems to update fairly often as well. However, the price point is a little shocking. 20 bucks gets you very little and is what keeps this place a once or twice a year visit.

What a treat to taste such delicious as well as beautiful chocolate! And it's very apparent that the creator of these wonderful chocolates loves his job! Yes they are rather expensive.... Try a few and you won't mind the price so much.

This was my first visit. The chef is very informative explaining how the chocolates are made and where the ingredients come from. The dark chocolates were over the top good. I will go back again. There were so many choices it is hard to decide what I wanted.
