Sadly after patronizing this place since it opened years ago, whenever in the area, it has steadily gone down hill over the past few years. Last night was the poorest Dining experience ever. Waited on er an hour for our food which never came despite...the fact people seated after us were served. We finally y got our appetizer but no food. We decided to leave and past our waitress who announced she was going on a break. While waiting for our meal she appeared to be on a constant break down in the bar going through liquor bottles in clear view from the table above. We aslked to speak with the manager who said he would come,our meals. After waiting another. 35 minutes my husband was not offed a drink or reimbursements for our appetizer for which we paid. When we finally got the food it was not only cold but not what we had ordered. We went t back again and waited another 25 minutes. Again we received one wrong meal but left anyway. There was no explanation what happened to our original order. We were told it must have been lost. While waiting several people left angrily and a m a at the bar returned his food 3 times. We were told it was hard to find people to work and they were short staffed. If this is the case the restaurant should, to be fully opened. It is very unfair to customers. It's unfortunate that I find myself in the position of having to write this review, but I tried my best to avoid it. Have been a Maggie's customer for 15+ years. We go primarily to the Middlebury, CT location, but have also gone countless times...to Southbury and Brookfield. Birthdays, graduations, sports celebrations, work dinners, other special occasions- we have gone there probably hundreds of times. We supported the Middlebury location at the start of Covid by regularly getting take out. On 11/1/20, at the Middlebury location, a person in our party almost swallowed a METAL SCREW that was in their food. We notified a manager, who only offered to deduct the cost of that meal. So as not to create a scene around the other customers, I immediately called the same manager upon leaving, and told her I didn't feel her response was adequate. I pointed out the potential dangerousness of the situation if the person had choked on the screw, or otherwise injured themselves in the process of swallowing it. The manager asked what I thought was fair, and I responded it seemed pretty straightforward that we should have been reimbursed the cost of the ENTIRE meal....at minimum. She took my information, and said she would get back to me. After a week of no response, I contacted the corporate office in Southbury on 11/6. The woman I spoke with took all my info, and said the person who handles these matters would get back to me on Monday, 11/9. After 2 days of no response, I called them again, and spoke with the proper person ( I will leave his name out). He stated he did not receive any info about my call the previous Friday. He took all my info again, and said he would get back to me. What followed was a series of calls from him first offering to deduct only 1/2 the cost of the meal to ultimately offering us gift cards equaling the cost. To say I was appalled was an understatement. I reminded him of how loyal of customers we have been, and that he was risking us never returning. I clearly expressed to him my belief that the response to simply reimburse us the FULL cost of our meals, given the pretty extreme circumstances of finding a foreign object in our food, was something that should have been offered on the spot, and shouldn't have required a series of phone calls spread out over a period of almost 2 weeks, only to result in some sad negotiation. Incidentally, prior to contacting the corporate office, I ran the situation by several people for unbiased feedback...ALL without hesitation stated the proper response should have been no charge for our meals that day. In hindsight, we simply should have simply walked out of the restaurant upon discovering the screw. So, this was a pretty eye opening and disappointing experience for us. But, if Maggie's can be this reckless with our safety, so "penny wise, pound foolish" that they would choose to lose the business of extremely loyal customers, and so unprofessional with responding quickly and properly to a bad situation, it's probably best that others hear about this.More

I met a friend here for lunch before heading out to Kent Falls State Park. We were seated outside in a very spacious and beautifully landscaped patio. For lunch I ordered the Cuban Sandwich and upgraded to include an onion soup. The sandwich was outstanding!...Probably the best I have ever had. The onion soup was unremarkable. For dessert, we split an apple crisp which was the perfect end to the meal. We enjoyed our server and the service. I would not hesitate to return here for lunch if circumstances should arise.More

We gave this place a try after driving by through the area. This place looks really nice from inside and out, small parking lot that easily got full after we arrived. We sat outside just because of social distancing, I did notice that the area...wasn’t really well kept, our table was dirty with some leftover food, dirty napkins on the ground and so were few menus, our table was really un leveled and it was really uncomfortable to eat. But we managed. The great thing about all our experience was Megan our sever she was really friendly attentive super fast and always made sure we were ok even one of the managers approached us to see if everything was ok. Besides the rest of the inconveniences about the place not being really clean outside we completely forgot about it. Food was delicious and tasted really fresh came out super fast. I really have to make a remark that our experience was excellent, but little details like having to pick up garbage and dirty things where u are seating is not cool. Hopefully they really pay attention to detail more often specially during this pandemic.More

Nothing stands out about this place, other then it's massive menu. However I did enjoy having dinner with my mom and daughter. The apps and meals are certainly worth the prices. Great spacing between tables and cute outdoor patio. Not to extravagant....but nice for a...change of pace, and not to have to spend a fortuneMore

Tried the curbside....ordered it two days in advance...arrived at the time agreed upon and they made me wait for 20 minutes...totally unacceptable!!! Will not be back again.

Ordered a margarita pizza delivered through door dash. The pizza arrived reasonably quick, which absolutely confirms that the pizza was cold to begin with. I get they are not a pizza restaurant per se, but that shouldn't be any excuse.

Very impressed! Stopped in while driving from Pittsburgh to Boston. Didn’t know what to expect on a Friday at 11:30AM. People at the bar drinking. I was like “ok”. Sat down and a very friendly waitress greeted us and gave us two bibles of food....Seriously, the menu is like 35 pages long. I figured with that much variety, how good could the food actually be? It was very good! I’d go back in a heartbeat!More

Stopped here for lunch while traveling...it was a busy place and unfortunately very noisy! Tables are close together and they try to squeeze a lot of people in. The menu is extensive. I ordered a BBQ plate and the sides came in very small cups,...this was disappointing. The food was fair. Waitstaff weren't very attentive due to amount of people in restaurant. Cupcakes were the featured desert on the menu....I wasn't a fan. Not a bad place but not great if you are on a date or trying to have a conversation with anyone.More
