Did not want to drive far from our hotel after a long day on the road...so this filled the bill. Friendly server........good wine, but food is average......although the garlic knots were very good.

Some people just go to restaurants for the food--I go for the experience, which means how conducive is it for a savored experience in general (food, friend, family, view). There is no more beautiful spot in Meriden than Hunter's Memorial and all of my out of town friends refer to Violi's as "The Country Club." (It is an excellent public... More

This is the first time after their fire I went back and no change with those delicious garlic knots. However the prices have gone up and the amount of food went down. You used to get a nice size portion for lunch, not any more. The veal picata dish was a little bland and had hardly any sauce. The chicken... More

Received gift certificate so I decided to have Italian my first impression was nice restaurant. the menu had a good variety but what I ordered seemed plain and under seasoned my companion said the same. Would I revisit maybe but this is my review. Your visit maybe better than mine give it a try..

My family and I went to Violi's on April 9, and had excellent meals. ( especially the delmonico special). So we figured we go again this past Friday,June 3rd. Well I have to say the meals were mediocre at best. Our appetizers were good but the entrees as I wrote .....mediocre. I also found the manager or owner very rude(... More

We have found golf course restaurants to be ok, mediocre at best but this was a surprise. We had the prime rib and the baked stuffed shrimp and both were excellent. Vegetables were fresh and crispy; and the potato sides were delicious. Waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive. We will definitely be back.

Very good Italian food served at a good Italian restaurant. The quality of the food is very good and the service is better. Happy to have the restaurant back open and serving the Meriden area. Prices are good, amount of food is adequate. Have visited this restaurant many times.

Recommend going before dark so you can enjoy the great view outside through the many windows. One of our friends has a gluten problem and was appreciative of our very helpful server. She suggested a few choices and even went to the chef to make sure of her information. Veal Marsalla was served wheat-free for him. The pork tenderloin was... More

We stopped here on our way back from Boston and boy was it worth it! We found it on Trip Advisor and decided to take a chance after a long drive. Some of the best Italian food and wine I've ever had and I grew up in the Bronx.
