Great for a sports team! We pre-ordered online, food was ready when we arrived, and it was delicious. Very friendly staff too!

What's better than some good old fashioned comfort food to make you feel better on a rainy day in October? Spoonshoppe had just what I was craving on that dreary day. A grilled cheese that was warm and oozing with melted cheese in between two...buttery grilled slices of bread. I also had a small cup of hearty chili with rich flavors from the ground beef, beans, bacon, jalapenos, and warm spices. Everything was delicious and satisfying. The front of the Spoonshoppe Brooke Deli looks like an old general store that you might stumble upon while driving on the backroads of Litchfield county. But they have their own little country setting on the busy road of East Main St. in the town of Meriden. Being that it's the fall season, they had pumpkins and gourds out front. Inside you'll find garden tomatoes, local honey, homemade cookies and pies, huge homemade pickles, and many side salads to go with your order from the kitchen window. I love soup and they have a nice variety of soups, so I'll be frequenting Spoonshoppe a lot this winter to warm myself up.More

My husband and I ate at this restaurant last night. Had the Whole Belly Clams and they were AMAZING! This restaurant also offers many, many homemade items from breads to soups and everything in between. We were also able to purchase fresh garden tomatoes, which...were also AMAZING! Can't wait to eat a tomato sandwich. Our friend recommended this restaurant and she was right on point. It is not a fancy place at all, but very clean and the curbside appeal is very cute!! Our friend has actually had their chicken salad, which she says is homemade as well and served on homemade cranberry bread that is brought in from a local bakery. Her husband has also eaten there and had a couple different variety of sandwiches, which they say was equally delicious. We think it is safe to say that most of their food is Farm-to-table, as they buy all their vegetables from a local farm and their breads from a local bakery. We will definitely be back to this restaurant and will recommend this restaurant to our friends and family as well. Thank you to the owner who offered my husband and I an excellent experience!! Keep up the good work!!!! YUM! YUM! YUM!!More

Too expensive for location. $5.60 for egg and cheese without meat. Absurd. I would understand if they made the bread, but it was the same you would find at a gas station for $2.00.

Ordered a sandwich and received it fast. It was good, though I had hoped that it being a deli it would be piled high. It wasn't piled high, but it was adequate. The quality was great, but compared to Subway, I think the value was...less.More

Delicious lobster rolls, great homemade cookies, unbelievable soup. This is a must stop for lunch. Tuna melts are out of this world!

Maybe today was just an off day, or maybe because we went late in the lunch hour but the chicken soup was almost all water and close to no chicken. I expected more based on previous reviews.

Good lobster rolls year round. Very good tuna melt (white tuna). Nice place for a quick lunch. Don't forget to get one of the home made cookies! Reasonable prices.

In an area where there are few quality restaurants this restaurant provides a sandwich option. You can eat in but there is little atmosphere or take out. The sandwich are made fresh and their are daily choices. It's an alternative to brown bagging.
