Nice place for breakfast. Fast and friendly staff with all the basics. Dinners are a pleasant surprise with multiple tasty entrees at a very modest price.

You cannot beat Nick's burgers and onion rings unless it's Thursday's corned beef! Their corned beef Reuben's are lean, tender and 5* delicious! You won't go wrong at Nick's if you want an informal lunch or dinner! It's a Madison staple.

Thank goodness Nick's is not very far away. They have the best Gyros on the shoreline. The rest of the menu does the job and the London Broil Shish kabob is really tasty as well when they have it. The food is consistent and some dishes are better than others. The staff is always friendly. I give it the highest... More

We just happened upon this restaurant located in a strip mall in Madison, CT. It was late afternoon and we wanted an early evening meal. Ther 'roast turkey dinner" was our choice, but we never expected it to be as large as it was. Served on an oval plate, it was quite substantial in size and very delicious....a true "home-cooked,... We went to breakfast and lunch, both times the food is okay. The service was good but the place felt dirty. There are better places in Madison, CT.

My husband and I stopped at Nicks Place for dinner. Nicks Place is extremely casual, tables are lined up in rows, you can seat yourself. There is a specials board at the counter, as well as over the seating. The staff was extremely friendly. We both ordered beer battered fish with fries and cole slaw. The fish was perfectly done,... We've gone to Nick's Place for breakfast while on vacation in Madison CT for a couple years, but this year we tried it for dinner and were pleasantly surprised. Several specials are featured daily, and four of us each tried a different one. All were tasty, great to look at when served, and the food was so plentiful, we had... More

This is a prime location for workman and people who do not strive for cleanliness. The food quality is greasy and the tables and silverware old and tired. If you are looking for breakfast ask a resident they will not send you to Nick's and probably will tell you why!.

Nick's is a convenient stop between Madison and Guilford. The menu is decent and they serve breakfast lunch and dinner. There always offer specials. While the people are nice the food is always only so-so. I cannot put my finger on it but as an example the breakfast potatoes I find to always be heavy and overly spiced. I am... More
