My favorite restaurant in the area. Small but very charming from the moment you walk through the door. Nice menu selection, reasonably priced. Always something new. Good wine list and specialty drink list. Tasty desserts.

The food and service were excellent! The atmosphere is very cozy with small tables very close together and original artwork on the walls. Although not conducive to private conversation, it was pleasant.

Elizabeth's cafe, or perfect parties as it is more commonly known in town, is an institution in Madison. Succeeding in the restaurant biz for more than 10 years is a big deal. Perfect Parties has been around for more than 25 years and continues to deliver a solid fine dining experience in a modest, historic building right on the Post... More

This is one of the best restaurants in the Madison area serving the best in food. We have been there a few times and we have taken food To-Go. Slow and inattentive service is the only problem especially on a Saturday night. We would continue to go to Elizabeth's during the week because of the fabulous food and desserts. I... More

We haven't been here in a long time and decided to go for dinner since we had other business in Madison. First, the service was wonderful and attentive. We each started with salads that were good, but pricey for what we received. My wife had the salmon and loved it. I had the striped bass special, which was good, but... More

On my way back from visiting the UU church in Madison, CT., I wanted to find a nice place for brunch - and I did! Elizabeth's Cafe is cozy cheque. Small enough to be intimate, but very friendly. I had an omlet with asparagus, tomato, and goat cheese, and it was luscious, and not TOO big (sometimes omlet can be... More

One of the worst meals out in a long time. There were six of us, and only one person said their there meal was good. Four fish dinners and one chicken. The three folks who had Salmon asked for it cooked medium rare. It was well done, dried out and had been sitting under a heat lamp. The scallops were... More

We eat out a lot and love to try new places, but Elizabeths has gradually become our "go to" local restaurant when we have out of town visitors, or just want to treat ourselves as we did last night. It never disappoints. There are several other very good restaurants in town, but they can't compete on atmosphere. It is always... More

The small dining room is well served by the artful and delicious food from the folks in the kitchen who take pride in their work. I've hosted several lunches for friends and each has been delicious. Some of my go-to items include the salmon sandwich and the salads

We've been cherishing Perfect Parties for years--it has always had excellent food served by a professional staff in a warm, cozy setting. But the other night we had three pasta dishes (all for take-out) and one of them went straight to the garbage after just a few bites: the shrimp had gone bad and was disgusting and inedible. The papardelle... More
