Manhattan clam chowder, veal, salmon all were delicious. One of the highlights is the outstanding service. It is difficult to find such attentive and well trained wait staff these days. Atmosphere is warm and welvkm I ng.

My husband and I went for a late lunch at Allegre Cafe. Despite it being around 2PM, and raining heavily, there were quite a few patrons there. There is a fairly diverse menu, as well as several specials. Caprese salad was OK. The fried calamari was good - a bit overcooked for my taste. But the marinara sauce was spectacular,... More

Had an early dinner here on a Tuesday. We shared two amazing apps - fried artichoke hearts and panne cotta (white beans, cheese, olive oil). Our dinners were equally as good. Seared scallops over linguini with spinach and tomato, gnocchi with marinara and a pasta in a vodka sauce. One of us had a cannoli and the rest shared a... More

We had prosciutto, burrata, pasta with cod, and spaghetti with clams. Everything was ok. I loved their burrata but the main entree wasn't up to par. Reasonably priced and won't make a dent on your wallet but at the same time, I can't see myself going back there for the 2nd time bec the entrees weren't as good. Maybe if... More

We have become creatures of habit at Cafe Allegre--a bottle of Albarino, a starter of panne cotto made with escarole and cannellini beans, bread, salad, and eggplant rollatini and eggplant parmigiana. We occasionally drift from our regular favorites (fried zucchini blossoms are always worth a detour, as are many of the fresh fish specials) but most of the time we... More

This eatery has a very cozy feel in what seems to be a converted house to restaurant in a New England setting. The menu is consistent with Italian menu with fish component to claim it beach like location.Great service and it seems the help has been with them for awhile. Its casual and good.

Café Allegre is a nice place for a lunch or dinner. There is a good selection of menu choices, prices are in a good range for the excellent quality of food and great service in a pleasant atmosphere. It's a good choice for celebrating a special evening or event. I look forward to returning soon.

Enjoyed a nice lunch today. Very nice decor, staff is very attentive and pleasant. Food was good, and is priced moderately. Most dishes run $10 for appetizers to $16-30 for entrees. Had their eggplant parm which was nice, came with house salad. Other member of party had swordfish special with linguini. Calamari appetizer was ok, seemed like it could have... More
