We have been going to Lenny & Joes for years sometimes almost every weekend during the summer. We never really had any complains until this past weekend. Stopped by before it got really crowded. I always get a lobster roll and honestly I think this was the worst I've ever had. It was very chewy, extremely greasy and not filled... More

We stopped here for a satisfying, quick lunch. They have a variety of very good seafood and outdoor and indoor seating. It was a beautiful day, so sitting outside under a covering was a nice feature.

Whenever in this neck of the woods, this is a must eat place. Whenever I am in CT I make a point of pulling in here for great seafood. Every year they do a new t-shirt. My daughters Uncle gets the best t-shirts for her from here.

My husband and I ate lunch here on our way home from our vacation in New England. We have eaten here many times and enjoy their fresh fish. We both ordered the broiled scrod dinner. When I went to the counter to place my order, I asked if I could substitute something for the rice, which I don't really like.... More

We stopped at the Madison Lenny Joes on our way to Chester CT to see the musical. A Sign Of The Times . I. Had the scallop dinner with fries and Cole slaw and my date had a shrimp platter also with fries and coleslaw. There was plenty on both platters and we were both satisfied with nothing to complain... Not good at all. Not sure if they ever change the drier oil. Broiled food is good but the prices are disgustingly high. Service staff are very rude.

Lenny and Joe's is a must stop if you're in Madison or leaving Hammonasset. The fish is always incredibly fresh and they have a great variety of fish, scallops, shrimp and clams. It's best fried, but splurge. You order in line and find a table. It's large, but waiting lines aren't uncommon during peak hours.

If you're looking for a reliable, traditional, big and booming counter-service seafood place, this is it. Deep-frying is the norm, but there are other choices, including very good chowder. No A/C, no view, but they do what they do very well.

We always go with a big crowd at the most crowded times and everyone is happy with there choices. The service is good and the wait is reasonable. Sitting out back on the picnic tables is the classic summertime experience. The carousel is great for the young ones and the soft serve vice cream great for all ages. The fried... More
