Faros tou Alykou restaurant opened its doors on 4th of july, 1992. Not an easy task for a family to growing four boys at the same time! However it was a dream and a great opportunity to offer what mama Irini already cooked for all the family despite working as a philologist at the same time in Naxos! During all these years of hard working and love for the Greek cuisine, we are proud that Faros tou Alykou, has become synonymous with family hospitality, fresh homemade food and honest people. The base was always pure and delicious Naxian products to prepare our dishes starting with fresh vegetables and local olive oil . A chance to have found this restaurant by chance on the way to the beach. Everything we look for in Greece on a midday in spring. Warm decor, sea view from the colorful terrace, friendly service. Had a very tasty and relaxing lunch today. With a great location overseeing the sea and across to Paros. The ambience is nice and there was a slight cooling breeze in the covered courtyard. The food was a mix of traditional with a more modern twist mainly with the garnishes. The Naxos goat in lemon sauce was a highlight. The grilled sea bass and octopus were well cooked and tasty. We also tried the marinated sardines, horta greens, fish roe dip and stuffed vegetables. All very tasty. The orange cake desert with ice cream was a great finish. They also have their own wines and we tried the white which was crisp and fruit in flavour. The waiters were all friendly and helpful. Highly recommend for great Greek flavours and relaxing ambience.

This restaurant is one of the best we visited on Naxos island. We stopped for lunch while touring the SW island beaches. The souvlaki was fantastic, the service was impeccable and the kindness of the owner and staff were above and beyond. They even provided us a 1/2 carafe of a local white wine gratis after our meal. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Dress up or down and you'll feel right at home at this terrific restaurant overlooking the Aegean Sea. The food is exceptional and the service is friendly and good -- very knowledgeable about all their dishes. The cats who actually run the place are a hoot. and, yes, real cats begging for your food! I think they make the place especially endearing and the staff swear they are well fed without all their begging. Go to Hawaii Beach for the day and stop off here for dinner on your way back!

We were greeted by the charming owner Stefanos Moustakis for an exciting experience of Greek cuisine in an amazing location with sea views. Our party was a mix of strictly vegetarian, semi vegetarian and totally non-vegetarians. We found tasty dishes for all three. Only one wine drinker so stuck with house red which was very respectful The ouzo at the end was fantastic. It was not cheap to eat here but everything above made it a worthwhile experience, will definitely go again

I had dinner in this great place a few nights ago to celebrate my wife's birthday! I must say excellent atmosphere in a beautiful location with relaxing background music. Very kind waiters beyond all expectations: here in Naxos the hospitality is exceptional, but in Faros they all outdid themselves, complete with candles and personalized celebrations for the dinner dedicated to my wife. High quality courses, catch of the day top and even super desserts!! Super consigliato!!

We noticed this restaurant on our way to Alyko Beach so wanted to have dinner here on our last evening in Naxos on 28th August. Very friendly staff and efficient service. Little waiting and tasty dishes. We tasted the Feta Saganaki and were pleasantly surprised by this truly unusual and very good dish. We will definitely stay here again if we return to Naxos in the future.

Stefanos and the rest of the staff were delightful. The appetizers were delicious and the food was great, you can’t go wrong with any of their recommendations. Amazing atmosphere, gorgeous view of the ocean and lots of people coming back for their second meals. You can tell they really care about the customers, makes you feel so welcomed. Had a German couple back because the owner personally made Christmas cookies, special for them since they are not in season. Lucky us, stefanos shared with us. Amazing! We will definitely be back!

Stunning restaurant opposite the Cedar forest , we walked along the road (take torches !) for about 25mins from glyfada/Kastraki but most people will drive there , but it was well worth it.
A lovely welcoming arrival from the gentleman owner and all the staff lovely , charming, knowledgeable with great food recommendations.
I wanted to eat everything on the menu, so well crafted and lovingly made with a beautiful presentation.
Outdoor restaurant decor was stunning with so many little touches it felt like five star restaurant with such economical prices. Impressed and wanted to return for more. Can't recommend enough

Great place for couples or friends. I have the imma and my friend had the Naxos wild goat. Both meals were delicious. The meat as very tender and fell off of the bone. The vegetarian dish was well seasoned and came out piping hot. We will come back again.

This is a perfect place for a dinner as addiitonally to good local food you also get beautiful sunset. Big lemon trees growing indoors gave a special ambience to the place. Highly recommended. I believe covered terrace with the lemon trees is the best seating you might have here.

An incredibly delicious restaurant with a huge variety and variety of different dishes. The restaurant manager was very friendly and greeted us with a handshake and a few kind words. The ensemble is very quiet and has a wonderful tropical flair. All in all, 10/10 points!
