This had become my favorite restaurant. Have been coming her for two years now and have introduced many people to this restaurant. The servers have always been exception as well as the food and prices. My family was here from out of state and I...couldn't wait to bring them here. We all experienced substandard meals. One dish, Cod was so salty it had to be sent back and a replacement was not wanted by the diner. The other meal was rice, with assorted meats and a vegetable and this too was too salty but the person ate it but did not take their leftovers, which normally is just wonderful to have. My dish which had shrimp was served in a light cream sauce and the shrimp were not peeled so I had to dip my fingers in the sauce, get all messy to eat the shrimp. I took my leftovers home but am debating if I eat or just toss. I called the restaurant 3 times today to speak w/a manager and the person never said one moment, but put the phone down and no one ever picked the phone up. I called those 3 times and gave up and decided to write this review. This will not be my go to restaurant in the future I am sorry to say. Very disappointing.More

The primavera steak is delicious. Ask for the round chip fries and rice. I like to ask for extra steak juice to dip my bread and fries in....soooo good ( :

Wow! First visit. What a great meal! We had a group dinner and someone in the group selected this restaurant. When I first arrived at my GPS I saw a tiny restaurant adjacent to a package store and it was closed. I read the small,...print in the window to learn that the Pub had moved to the building on the back of the lot(?former VFW or Legion facility) So, continue just past the package store and park in the back of you are coming from the North on Newington Road. The building is newly constructed and/or rehabbed and quite bright and clean. Even on a weeknight at 6, it was nearly full. Greeted politely by the hostess and directed to my group. We had a table in the back the decor was clean and a bit sparse. There is a bar which was full and some tables there as well. We started with a Red Portuguese wine Cabriz which was delicious and inexpensive (made from grapes I am not familiar with-Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinta Roriz). There was delicious fresh bread on the tables (? Abrantes bakery) with olive oil and green olives. We were served family-style and had a wonderful dish with shrimp, calamari, and clams. It had delicious light brown sauce. We also had potatoes, yellow rice, and broccoli rabe. It was all delicious, tender and fresh. There was also plenty of food for all 12 of us. We tried all, the desserts and they were amazing. The best part was the bill, which worked out to $45-50 per person. We had thought it might be more like $100/person, so for the quality and quantity of food, we were amazed. The Service was excellent. I Will definitely return.More

Pasta with shrimp was excellent. Dish with several meats was very good. Portions were large. Ate both dishes for another dinner. Meals and wine reasonably priced. Will go back soon. Difficult to see sign in the dark.

If you love seafood, this is the place to go. It is always crowded, bustling, filled with Portuguese people raving about the food and indicating this place catered their wedding. I have enjoyed 5 visits,so far. Portions are large and garlicky and prices extremely reasonable....The vibe is neighborhood pub, with continuous soccer on the TV. They have recently added a freestanding larger dining room behind the original neighborhood shack. The new place is lovely .be aware parking may take a little while as the lot is almost always full. Reservations for 8 or more. Enjoy!More

A small family run Portuguese restaurant with excellent food. Service is good, a wide variety menu. Sometimes waiting in line, but worth the wait.

Been going here almost weekly for 20 years with a friend who I actually first met here. Consistently good food, kind accommodating service and generous potions. New location is pleasant. Lights in the bar could be dimmed a little to improve ambiance. Food is comfort...food - limited ingredients prepared well and good flavors. It’s a great spot and highly recommended. Try it, you’ll like it!More

Last Wednesday, we had dinner at The Primavera Pub in Hartford. We arrived at 6:30 for dinner and was lucky enough to get one of the last tables. The wait staff was courteous and very attentive. When visiting, hopefully you will be lucky to have...Monica as a waitress. A great waitress who, while being exceptionally busy, was very attentive to us. We started with one of the two steamed clams appetizers that was very favorable with chunks of sausage in a flavorful tomato sauce. The beefsteak with ham and a fried egg on top was terrific. Can’t wait to go back!More
