The Chowder Pot is a great place to socialize during Happy Hour. They offer scrumptious appetizers like buffalo wings, lobster tails, dips and an amazing dinner selection.

chowder pot was one of my favorite restaurants, but the last 2 time we went there was very disappointing. Prices have gone up quite a bit and the portions are shrinking. I usually get the seafood imperial and the last time I got it there hardly seafood in it. My husband got the lobster roll and said mcDonalds was better.... More

We booked the Chowder Pot for a graduation party, around 50 guests. Carol the planner was awesome-made sure everything was perfect & answered tons of questions along with great suggestions. Very easy to work with. Staff helpful & professional. The party was a hit- everyone loved the food & the beautiful room. Highly recommend it.

There's not a lot of curb appeal here and while the interior screams 1980, don't be scared off! The food and service are excellent! We had tried the USS Chowder Pot III in Branford a few years ago while passing through so when we knew we would be passing though Hartford around dinner time, we had to try this one... More

I could sit at the bar and eat raw oysters and cherry stones for hours. Along with their Bloody Mary's with the shrimp included, this is a great place for happy hour, lunch or dinner. You can never be disappointed because they always make everything perfect.

Service staff was friendly and helpful. The decor was an expected seaside cliched look. Bathrooms were ok. Parking was plentiful. Went with a friend for lunch. I ordered the seafood salad despite the price because it looked so good. Two shrimp (good), a reasonable amount of crab (also good), the lobster meat (tasteless and squishy), lettuce (tasted like it had... More

My husband and I used to love the Chowder Pot IV. We haven't been in a couple of years and decided to go back last night. There was a 45 minute wait so we went into the very large bar area. We waited about 10 minutes or so at the bar that had a smell of vomit along the whole... More
