I've been to TK on many different occasions, always positively pleased by the food. Recently enjoyed more of their happy hours (pre-COVID). Nice selection of mini plates and good choice of drinks to match them. Our waiter Steven was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and...was very friendly.More

Came to Hartford from Boston and this place got great reviews. We showed up before they opened for lunch on a Saturday and I assumed it would therefore be empty. It filled up quickly. Nice menu, and creative options. Thought it was solid. Waitstaff nice...too.More

I love the Max brand and come here when going to XL center. Service was good and friendly. The menu seemed small to me. It used to have more selections. Food was good but need a few more choices.

I didn't know what to expect from the outside view, but I was very pleased with the Trumbull Kitchen's lunch options during a recent business trip. The place was recommended by a coworker who is local to the area. I was told that it can...fill up quickly during lunch, but we had no problems getting seated for a group of five at noon. The beer list is outstanding with some top of the line Connecticut craft brews, as well as some national staples. The menu had a lot of great options, and my bourbon burger was outstanding. The sweet potato fries were also very well prepared. The interior setting and seating is very stylish, with an old school speakeasy motif. Service was also very pleasant and responsive. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Hartford!More

We dined here last night. I have to say that the staff goes out of it's way to make sure you have an awesome experience. I have a food allergy and they were able to accomodate me such that I didn't need to be concerned,...even down to the bread offered. Service was prompt and attentive. Menu was great with several interesting choices making me want to return to try others meals. A great place to dine when in downtown Hartford.More

While visiting Hartford for a day, stopped here for lunch. Good selections and both of us enjoyed the food. Good service and reasonable prices as well.

Trumbull Kitchen has been on my radar for quite a while. Everything about my mid week lunch there was operating on all cylinders. There is a great vibe to this place: friendly, not stuffy but professionally managed. If this were located nearer to me, I'd...be a weekly regular. Food is well prepared and creative. The clam chowder appetizer was excellent, and my mahi mahi was exceptional with a perfect blend of fish, sausage and vegetables in a piquant sauce. (Since I mentioned that I had to be careful about white rice intake, my server Steven picked up on my food issue and immediately offered to leave out the rice on my dish--talk about attentive!) I have dined at all of the Max Group properties and have never been disappointed: they know how to elevate meals while being perfect hosts. One other note: at Trumbull Kitchen the staff is obviously well trained. Steven deserves special mention. But the whole staff is efficient and caring and look very professional in their neat blue check shirts.More

We had heard that the restaurant was noisy and asked for a quiet table. Altho it was nealry full, they placed us in a booth in a corner. That worked fine. All of the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The food was very good....The menu is odd. Some things are listed under Standards and some things under Stone Pies." Ask you wait person what they mean.More

Dear Tic, Thank you for the great review and feedback. To answer your questions TK standards are items that have been on the menu for awhile. A stone pie is a pizza cooked on a stone. We look forward to your return!!! Thanks, David Mascolo...More

This was my first visit and I will be coming back! It was a Satuday night with the Taste of Hartford menu, after we had attended the RV show at the Convention Center. We sat at the last available table, with only a few bar...spots remaining open. The Service was excellent, friendly yet professional, Pricing was good and the Food was very good. The place cleared out after an hour when the hockey crowd left for the game, but it was never loud. The selection of beer and wine by the glass was very good and would meet most needs. For appetizers, I had the Greek chicken lemon soup and my lady friend had the fried cauliflower arugala salad. My soup was good, with a light lemon taste, and her cauliflower was excellent, with great crispness and flavor. We both had the seafood orso main course with shrimp and scallops, which was plentiful and well done. We finished with the flourless chocolate cake dessert which was just the right size and sweetness to help complete the dinner.More

Not that I know of. They may run specials maybe with certain performances but I have not seen this. I’d call both places - you never know unless you ask! Happy Travels!
