Cajun Food with Entertainment

Black Eyed Sally's is a good place to go for Cajun food or for an evening out. The bar restaurant scene is always active and week end entertainment features a live band with dancing. Be sure to let the server know if you're attending a local event so they can accommodate your timing.

Went in for a late lunch with my husband for the 2016 taste of Hartford menu. I've been here before so I had high expectations. Perhaps they were short staffed service wise because they fiell short in timeliness. They brought us cornbread because we had to wait so long which was very delicious. Appetizer of green fried tomatoes and deviled... More

Thank you for your feedback. Well I'm not going to try and sugar coat it- we messed up! Since you have been here before you know that is not typical- we take our guest satisfaction very seriously. It doesn't happen often but unfortunately, that day was like the perfect storm. Please accept my apology and send me your email address... More

While in town on a business trip I stopped in with co-workers. They did a great job of accommodating a larger group with no reservation. Menu includes great variety of New Orleans style southern foods. BBQ, fried chicken, seafood, cornbread, collard greens, etc. The evening entertainment was outstanding! Will certainly be back again.

A friend and I attended Sally's before the recent UCONN men's game at XL center and it was packed when we got there. We waited about 20 minutes for a table which wasnt bad. Our server was a young lady from the Bronx and unfortunately, we didnt get her name. She was very friendly and helpful and when I asked... More

After reading numerous reviews about this place we encoded to give it a shot. We were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was lively, staff extremely attentive and accommodating. Unfortunately we showed up on the only night with no live music. Oh well... The food was scrumptious and totally unexpected for the area. Would definitely recommend

Had the Gumbo, and it was quite good. The food was reasonably priced. Decent beer selection reasonably priced. Right by the park, so can go for a stroll before or after. I would eat here again!

I was very happy. Service a little slow when busy, but well worth it. I got a combo with ribs, catfish, and brisket. The best brisket I've ever had. Everything had a very good smoky flavor. Fun atmosphere with live music, too. Portions were huge. I highly recommend this place.

The food is smokin' the music is hot. If you can't get to Mardi Gras let Mardi Gras come to you. You'll have a blast.

This is a go-to place for a reasonably priced meal and maybe a little music. Nothing fancy about it, it's a comfortable place to try some pulled pork or greens or BBQ of your choice. The food is good and the service is reasonably quick most of the time. I'm especially fond of this as a meeting place, because it... More
