Not only is the staff super friendly and efficient, the food is amazing. When you're craving real pizza, this is what you want. The sauce is fresh and seasoned well, the cheese is the perfect layer, and the dough is chewy and crispy and thicker...than thin crust. I enjoy a thin crust pizza on occasion from other pizza joints but Angelina's is the real deal and I'll never turn it down. Their pizzas are massive and a great value. They have a great selection of specialty pizzas, grinders and salads. Favorites are the steak and cheese grinder, any salad with their house dressing, and too many pizzas to remember off the top of my head but here are a few: garlic chicken and broccoli, buffalo 911, bbq chicken, and marinated veggie. Oh and it's probably one of the safest places in the state with all the police officers and firemen that frequent the restaurant. I've never dined in but they do have several tables, fountain and bottle beverages, and a good selection of chips. Seriously one of the best pizza places in the US.More

I can't believe it took me this long to do a review. I have been going to Angelina's for a number of years now and it is my favorite Pizza in CT. I drive from Cromwell to Angelina's on an almost weekly basis and it...is more than worth it. The owner (Joe) is one of the nicest guys around so when you combine the great service, attitude and product, you cannot lose. It is always frequented by policy, state troopers and EMTs so you know it is really good.More

When you order a slice of pizza at Angelina's, you actually receive two large slices, almost half of a large pizza. You really get what you pay for, and a little more. The service is friendly and the restaurant is clean. At lunch time the...place is packed. You will probably wait a few minutes after you place your order, but it's worth the wait. When in Hartford, this is one of my "go to" places.More

I am usually satisfied with their grinders. I should have ordered veal again. But I keep hoping I'll find a restaurant with good sausage. Well, I didn't. Why doesn't anyone have Italian sausage that actually has some taste??

I wanted to do something nice for my office staff in honor of Administrative Assistants Day. I also wanted to try a local place we hadn't ordered from before. One of our Medical Assistants raved about Angelina's so we checked out their menu. I told...the staff repeatedly "order whatever you like" but pizza was it because we heard such tremendously good things about it. We asked the staff member about the sizes: As in "is the medium size the same size as the usual large size pizza, or should we get the super large?" It's important to note this because there is a hefty price difference. At Angelina's. a medium #1 (Garlic, Chicken, Broccoli) pizza is $16.99, but a super large (there is no large option) jumps to $25.99. There is a party size after that! Our staff member told us she usually orders the super large at home and it's the usual large size pizza. So we ordered the #1 and also a super large pepperoni pizza. The two pizzas were ready for pickup in 20 minutes, and cost roughly $55. Now, this was truly hilarious. The super large pizzas at Angelina's are ENORMOUS. As in one super large pizza box is nearly the width of our conference room table, as my photos show. THIS IS NOT A NORMAL SIZED LARGE PIZZA FOR ANYONE! One pizza could easily serve 30 people, and we had ordered two of this size. We had about 7 people in the office on this day, so we all had plenty of slices to take home. Luckily, Angelina's pizza lived up to its reputation. The #1 Garlic, Chicken, and Broccoli pizza was the favorite, and I have to say I'm in the love with the crust. Normally it's something I leave on the plate. Not so here. The Pepperoni pizza was also quite good, but by that point, we were all on overload. Still, something outstanding about that crust. The pizzeria itself is clean, the staff is friendly, and the parking is easy. It's a good sign when locals are lined up at 11:30 or 11:45 am to purchase lunch, and that's how it works at Angelina's. I can't believe I haven't tried this place before. Next time I'll make sure to verify the sizes first!More

Had lunch at Angelina's with a friend from Colt Firearms and was surprised at how large the portions are. I ordered the small (8") BLT Grinder and when it arrived I instantly wondered how I could eat it all. It was HUGE with about five...lbs. of bacon on it!!! My friend ordered a slice of pizza and it was actually two LARGE slices. The food was prepared quickly and efficiently and there was no trouble getting in and out in less than an hour. We actually had time to talk and eat leisurely. You really get a lot for your money at Angelina's and the prices are quite reasonable too.More

My family has been patronizing Angelina's for years! To say this restaurant is awesome would be an understatement. The staff - Joe, John, and everyone else are the most descent and honest people you will meet. The pizza ,grinders, and salads all are awesome. The...portions are huge so bring your appetite. Just a secret - Joe's chicken wings are only second to J. Timothys. You will always find a friend at Angelina's. Even during crowded times you will be welcome to share a table with anyone.More

The only thing that I've witnessed change with Angelina's Pizza over the past 10 years, is a change in location due to customer demand! The best pizza around! Biggest slices, and the best atmosphere to get authentic pizza the way you supposed to enjoy it!...Slices are huge V shaped slices that are great for folding in half, and the party pizza feeds and army! I've hosted team dinners, graduations, to even just having friends over just playing video games watching movies and just munching on a "Buffalo Chicken Party Pizza!" The owner is super friendly and makes you feel welcome. It reliable quick service just the way it's supposed to be. But don't get me wrong it's not just for pizza. The chicken cutlet and chicken Parmesan are to die for! I've enjoyed every single appetizer and half the time I just put them right on my pizza. Yeah that's right! Getting real serious here! But if you're in the Hartford area and you want New York style pizza. Then look no further for the best taste and the best pizza all around that money can buy! stop in! and you won't be disappointed!More

I came here with my dad often before he retired and their pizza never disappoints! One of the best pizza places, if not the best, in Hartford.

Passed this place a zillion times. Stopped in to try a sandwich. The place specializes in Italian comfort food. The place is modern and surgically clean. Noticed it was packed. Police, State Troopers and uniformed Fire Fighters were in line with me. I test new...places by ordering an eggplant parmesan grinder ( in other areas called a hoagie, hero, submarine, etc). Delicious. Since then I try to stop in weekly. Portions are huge. Next I'll sample the calzone with spinach!More

that hasn't already been said. I've been going there for many, many years and they have NEVER disappointed. 2 slices of pizza is all the average person can handle. Grilled chicken salad is shareable, My favorite is the calzones. Be original. They'll put whatever you want...in it. Try mushroom, onion, bacon and meatball. WIOW!!! Enough for 2 people as well. Service is fast and very friendly. Call ahead and they will be ready when you get there. ENJOY!!!More
