Great place with upbeat atmosphere, Beer on Tap was top notch as was our service. We ate pub food which was also very good. Overall a great experience!

This brewery is a much-needed place in Hartford to offer somewhere for the young working adult population to go and keep business in the city. The menu is plentiful and the food's good, and is there is plenty of seating. The drinks menu especially is good, particularly the homemade libations. You can come here for private parties as well. The... More

The beer is the highlight here. They are known for their homemade buns for their burgers I was hoping for more from the food. The beer I had was amazing! The burger was good, cooked as ordered. Several burger options to choose from. The bun was dry and fell apart while eating the burger. Don't get me wrong, if you... More

Great location in Hartford, especially before a Civic Center event. Decent pub food, reasonable prices, but....... For the third time in a row, we had a 5:15 reservation in advance of a 7:00 game at the Civic Center. When we arrived, small crowd. When we left at 6:50, jammed. 15 minutes before we got our first beer, a full hour... More

The place has a selection of good beers; the food is average. The service needs a huge overhaul. They understaffed, hence, the servers are stressed, resulting in negative atmosphere.

I have worked in clubs and restaurants before so I am aware of how the service industry works. To say they were understaffed would be an understatement. The fury of chaos that went on in the small area was like watching cars drive on ice. I do not blame the workers, it is clearly a management shortcoming. Got my bar... More

We walked in at 5 PM were told 20 minutes to sit to eat. After 30 minutes were told next on the list. After 45 minutes we were told we are unable to seat you. I love there Naughty Nurse Beer. But will never purchase it again ever. I will never set foot in this restaurant again either. All my... More

Attempted to garner a table for four at this establishment at 5:45 PM on 1/28/17 before attending a play at Hartford Stage. We walked in to what seemed like a flurry of activity at the reception desk of individuals going to the Comedy Show who were at tables and individuals just entering and heading down to the Comedy Show. We... More

Came here for dinner having never been before. Only waited 5-10 minutes for a table which was nice. The place is huge- 3 levels so would be hard for someone who couldn't do stairs. We waited a very long time for our drinks and waited a long time to order, and then waited over an hour for our food which... More

City Steam has been around long enough to get it right. Their food is always very good and served hot or cold, as appropriate. Beverage variety is tantalizing and enjoyable. The multi tiers are hard to take if one has difficulty with stairs.
