Dinner was delicious, I had the fish tacos, which can be deep fried or grilled. They were huge! My daughter had steak, which was a little under done, but they re-heated and it was fine. My husband had pulled pork and he really enjoyed it. The star of the show was the ginger chicken wings as an appetizer. Definitely recommend.... More

The restaurant is pub style that seems to have a solid local following. The food and service are good.

Friends invited us for the weekend and one of our favorite was this brewery. So many kinds of beer for sale my husband was on cloud 9. Nice food to go with too. Giant pretzels were so good. Would pop in here if anywhere close by.

I've been drinking City Steam beer since it's creation, but have not been to the brewery cafe until now. It was very easy to find from the directions on their website. There is a pay parking lot across the street which makes access very easy. There is a small but colorful canopy over the front door. Upon entering the front... More

Our family had a great lunch at City Steam. Surprised by the gorgeous interior as we stuffed ourselves with fish tacos, quesadilla and that giant pretzel. Loved the dark Oatmeal Stout beer.

So the drinks are great, the staff is great, the prices and servings are good, the only thing keeping this from a 5 star is that the food is lacking something. It is good but just not on par with the 5 star places.

Great food BUT the service was too slow. Wouldn't return. It was quick to be seated and order. Then we waited for what seemed and may have actually been an hour before food was delivered. Pleasant staff.

Traveling alone and wanted a casual place to go by myself. Good casual atmosphere. Good local choice of beer. My burger was ver good. My dessert special was excellent. Service was good. No on site parking, so I had to park in a nearby garage which cost me $7. Other than that, it was a good downtown place for casual... More

Stopped by on drive through Hartford due to our predisposed to visit brewpubs. Though only open since the late 70's, furnishings and ambience is much older and gives a warm, comfortable feeling. Service was superb, Hannah was attentive and memorized our orders and got it right. Food was pub fare, good quantities and very tasty, done as we asked. Unique... More
