Not What We Were Hoping For!

This is truly a take-out restaurant; although there are 4 tables and 4 high tops that you can eat your food at. Unfortunately, you feel like you are eating in a storage room, as opposite the tables are stacks of cardboard boxes filled with products from China, and behind the tables there is chain fencing where they store a wall full of 2-litre Coke bottles! The area was also very chilly! Although, when we ordered at the counter, we said that we would be dining in, our food was still put in take-out containers. We had no silverware or dishes, and when requested, we only got a disposable cheap plastic fork and plate. Our food came out relatively fast and was satisfactory, but nothing exceptional in anyway. If you wanted a fortune cookie that is usually given at most Chinese restaurants, you had to buy them here. They also, do not have any hot tea on their menu. There are a few parking spots in front of the restaurant and it is in a residential/business neighborhood which made it convenient. It is also very close to the Mark Twain House, and was a part of the consideration to coming to this particular restaurant. I doubt if we will ever return as it was not an enjoyable experience and Hartford has way too many other restaurants to choose from. If I lived in the neighborhood and wanted quick take-out Chinese food, I might try it again. It's just not a good going out to eat place!
